Day 2,509, 11:15 Published in Poland United Kingdom by Spite313

Dear friends,

God is the game boring these days. Nevertheless I feel like I should at least temporarily come out of my near-coma to write a little bit about the few mostly uncommented on issues of the day. Really, it’s surprising how little comment anything gets any more in the media. Vanity articles and 35 vote top 5’s abound!

I guess I should first of all address the housing issue since it was my hot topic. Admins ignored me and their idea for housing was totally retarded and failed to address any issues, in fact it increased overproduction if anything. I don’t know how many of you actually use houses, but I don’t see their current system as encouraging, not to mention that since they didn’t change productivity formulas there is actually no sort of system at all for how production values are calculated. I have no idea where it’ll go from here, but nowhere good is my prediction.

I don’t really know where to start on the tycoon pack. I should have guessed after the admins literally handed out seventy million currency in gold to about a hundred people that there wouldn’t be anything good following, however this took the biscuit. Poorly thought out, it didn’t tempt me in the slightest. Actually if anyone cares, I won’t be buying any packs since none of them are really appealing to me at the moment. The game has kind of declined to the point where personally I’m not that interested in investing the money anymore.

In international relations, Poland and Hungary got it on, much to the horror of everyone in Asteria and Aurora. Two countries with ancient historic ties IRL and good relations ingame signing an MPP shouldn’t be much of a shocker, but inevitably it raises questions about how much longer the current alliance system will last. Being honest, the current system has been woefully unstable since founding, mainly because countries couldn’t bury issues to build what would have been two strong alliances with heavy cores (like ONE and TWO did) and instead we ended up with three fragmented alliances with little in common.

However the normal alliance machinations which would lead to such a collapse/reformation are hindered by the lack of top level players in the game. I mean, the days where every country could boast multiple factions, each led by talented rivals, is long gone. Nowadays it seems like there is nobody of quality left. I mean my poor beleaguered birth country seems to have a competition between various idiots, and one nice but inactive guy. Not to mention their congress is led by someone who needs to take off his shoes to count past ten. It’s a bit of a disaster all round really.

Oh- WildOwl recently accused me of not responding to the Serbian occupation of Spain. Sorry WildOwl, I was busy getting absolutely smashed for my birthday, and other assorted cool RL things. However, assuming you weren’t being facetious comparing the situation now to the situation then, let me elaborate on the differences: Poland didn’t promise to liberate Spain, then go inactive for weeks and then sign a NAP with Serbia behind Spain’s back. Despite the overall terrible leadership of late, Spain and Poland have been in contact and seem to have an excellent relationship, judging by the sickeningly sweet SPoland articles all over the media. It’s all about the communication, darling.

Since we’re on the topic, seems Poland elected a troll for their CP. He then trolled some people (Turkey, Albania etc). I wouldn’t take too much offence at this, I’ve been known to call some people untermensch myself (pretty much everyone actually, I’m a non-discriminatory elitist). As silly as it sounds, every country has a month or two where they elect a duff leader. UK is still trying to forget the last time BigAnt was CP, Lizan in Spain, etc etc. Sure it’s poor diplomacy to call your allies subhuman and suggest allying their enemies. But you know, shit happens, don’t take it as meaning everyone in the country hates you. My lovely lads and lasses in Unity also got accused of leeching off the Polish state by this guy after all. For the record, we fight for free (when we can be bothered) and always have done.

I think that’s most of the big issues. Until next time, readers o/
