The Ballad of Aldous Revealed
MaryamQ
Hello, dear readers,
We are a few days into the new congressional term, and it's time to examine what is happening in eBelgium. Thanks to your kind votes, I have been actively participating in Congress, and I am happy to report that many of your representatives are hard at work looking for ways to make eBelgium a stronger and more interesting country in which to live. We have an exciting mix of the more experienced and newer blood, all working toward the same end, the good of eBelgium and her citizens. As I did before the election, I encourage you to contact us through comments in the media, private messages to those who are in Congress or the various ministries, or participation in the forum. Let us know what you need and what you want from your country, and while you're at it, join in the fun and help others.
The most interesting buzz right now is something dear to the hearts of all loyal eBelgians: the rise of Aldous the Meek. Rumors started recently in the halls of Congress, and the word is spreading rapidly across the globe about eRepublik's newest holy man. This reporter has been frequenting the streets of Brussels, and has heard much interest in our sainted Aldous. Others are reporting what is known about him, and it is certainly fascinating, not to say awe-inspiring. Devotees may be heard at any time, chanting the sacred name, and recently, the following may be heard wherever one goes:
THE BALLAD OF ALDOUS
In Flanders, there has walked a man
Whose countenance is meek,
Devoting all his eLifespan
To shepherding the weak.
He fed the poor, increased their health,
And fought for them each day.
He did not look for his own wealth
But chose a kinder way.
He left us on a vision quest
For wisdom he could share.
He seeks for all the very best.
His light is everywhere.
They say our Aldous will return
To those who love his name.
May our devotion ever burn!
To others spread his fame!
Curiously, this ballad is sung only in English. Could it be that he is already known in other lands? Are there other songs like this in Dutch, French, or other languages? We will keep you posted as we strive to know more!
Hail Aldous the Meek!

"Oh belgium... why don't you embrace the eternal sands of his holy God-emperor Dio Brando?"
Because Dio is the Herald of Aldous the Meek. Why worship the messenger when you can worship the message?

Dio Brando is a charlatan.
