The Balance of Power: Day 1519

Day 1,519, 05:24 Published in Australia Australia by Tyler96
Middle East

Turkey successfully erased the United Arab Emirates yesterday but the Emiratis have since regained the regions of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It is unlikely the ONE-aligned Emirates will last long unless Turkey allows it to, with the 30-region Turkish empire surrounding the Emirates on all sides.

Another ONE-aligned nation, Egypt, also exists purely on the whim of its larger EDEN/Terra affiliated neighbours and occupiers, Greece and Cyprus. Egypt regained 2-regions as the Republic of Macedonia was run out of the region, but has since been unsuccessful in further resistance wars.

East Asia

Taiwan continues to march forward into Japan, since the 12th of this month they have conquered 4 Japanese regions, winning all of the mini-battles, also putting down various resistance wars, both in Japan and South Korea, which is occupied in full.

China remains embroiled in Indonesia, after initially wiping the country on 5th January. Indonesia successfully returned to the map and the war was re-engaged on a week ago. However, Indonesia has continued to perform poorly in the conventional battles, where they are outnumbered (27 v 20) in MPPs, a factor which is multiplied by the global state of affairs and ONE’s continued battle for survival.

Oceania

Argentina declared New Zealand as a natural enemy a couple days ago, but because of an already open training war with Chile their declaration was mooted by lack of a border. However, then Chile pressed on in an attempt to conquer the whole of New Zealand, but were halted in Canterbury, this war remains ongoing, and with Chile having a substantially larger population and MPP stack it may result in the wipe of New Zealand.
