So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish

Day 1,446, 20:09 Published in Philippines USA by Hekter

You are welcome. :3

After an interesting last term as President, I am here to finally say goodbye. Well, as much as I can--you'll still see me on IRC, advising the government, and helping revise tax figures, but for the most part I will be directing efforts elsewhere.

It has been a very interesting 2 years here, in the Philippines. I have served 4 and a half official terms, an unofficial term, handled most of another 2 terms' duties and been in a position to overrule the current President for several other terms. I've served in every government position for all practical purposes, and directed many from afar. All told, and I do try to be modest, it cannot be measured how much of an impact I have personally had.

All good things must come to an end, however.

After Berritas ascends to the Presidency tonight, I will head to the eUnited States, in order to continue to grow as an eCitizen in a larger nation, with friends I have kept since before the Philippines, and stand beside my eWife, former Filipino Minister of Defense Angelini. Maybe someday I'll get that fifth Presidential medal, even.

Truly, my eLife would be vastly different without the Philippines. You have taught me much, not only about eLiving, but the Real World as well, to not stress the little things, and that things always go on. No matter how many times we are wiped, there is always a solution to be had. At the beginning of this month, we had no regions. At the end, we hold all of them, if only temporarily before Indonesia secures Mindanao again. We always bounce back. Never lose hope. Friends are better than enemies. It is when we derail ourselves from these values that things go awry.

May the greatest days be ahead of you, Philippines. I am proud to have been able to help the nation, and I hope you are, too.
