Realignment

Goodevening,

The game has become boring and dull, hoewever, there are several simple things to make it once again interesting. One of these being the realignment of resources.

The eWorld as we know it today has had its resources redistributed several times, each time sparking interest in both the economic as well as the military modules as regional allegiances have been reshaped and reformed. The current resource bonuses as we know them now, were haphazardly distributed to the eWorld, unevenly and unfairly.

In V1 there were seven high iron regions. Seven.. Every country that had a high iron region had a magnificient economic bonus due to this as iron was the most important resource. Iron started and ended wars and whichever countries controlled iron regions had absolute competitive advantages as iron was the only weapons raw bonus back then.

Then V2 came about, they changed diamonds to titanium and some other shenanigans. I won't comment much about resources in V2 as we all know how V2 worked out.

Then, they changed the bonuses again. First they decided their would be 5 food and 5 weapons resources and they redistributed all these resources to the eWorld. Of course, they did this haphazardly and some countries got more than their fair share.

To achieve 10/10 bonus the rarest and most valuable resource (due to its rarity) is rubber. The eWorld has 69 countries in it and of these 69 countries only 11 of them have a rubber bonus. Of these 11 countries,

- five of these countries are in south-east asia, (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand),
- four of these countries are in South America (Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela)
- and South-East Mexico has rubber and it borders South America

Of the 11 countries with rubber 10 of them are in South America or in South-East Asia.

The world's rubber regions.

Now for the rest of Asia, North America, Africa and Europe their is only a single country who's original regions has rubber, and that is France. However when we look at for instance iron, 35 countries in the eWorld have this as an original resource -- that is over half the countries!!!

The world's iron regions.

Every country in the eWorld has iron or has easy access to it, however that is not the case with rubber.

Contrasting the availability of the iron bonus to the rubber bonus we can tell that countries in South-East Asia and South America have advantages that no other regions in game will ever have as they have easy access to numerous rubber regions. These are advantages that are unfair as we are not playing on a level field.

In order to achieve full resource bonus, countries like Poland have used their sheer might to gain the eHoly 10/10. This is unfair to all the "less powerful" countries in the region as they have and will forever continue to be permawiped. These countries are permawiped for the sin of having resources unevenly disributed to them. Having these countries permawiped ensures that they will never be able to retain new players and therefore never have a vibrant ingame community. Of course, Poland is also at a disadvantage here as it has had to go to extreme lengths to achieve and maintain full resource bonus whereas other countries, notably China and Brazil, have had to do next to nothing to ensure 10/10 bonus. The advantage of China and Brazil's "geography" puts the rest of the eWorld at an unfair disadvantage as no other countries have such easy access to full bonus.

Some countries have many food resources but many countries have few or no weapon resources and this places these countries at a distinct disadvantage. Frankly, food resources are utterly useless in comparison to weapons resources. Why are food resources useless? Every player has a free food company and can manufacture their own food. Furthermore, Q1 food is equally as effective as Q7 food, however Q1 weapons are not equally as effective as Q7 weapons. Do you prefer that your food raw company has 100% bonus or that your weapons raw company has 100% bonus? We all know the answer to that.

Perhaps each region could have both a food and a weapons resource, it would also be logical that all resources are distributed evenly, meaning their should be i.e. 100 regions with iron bonus, 100 regions with rubber bonus, and so on. Finally the resources should be distributed randomly without any type of "interference" in their distribution in order to affect regional rivalries, real-life hatred, etc. If this is done then it would be a breath of fresh air into the game as allegiances and alliances would change as allies became enemies and enemies became allies. It would also be fair to countries like France, Germany, etc who's only sin being the luck of the draw when Plato was tossing resources around.

As long as resources remain as they are many countries will always be at a disadvantage.

What would be nice is a chance for all countries to have a chance to acquire 10/10 but what would be much better is for there to be an even playing field.

Currently pondering why Plato won't accept my friendship request,
