All,
Does anyone else believe this 10th Anniversary Event is nothing more than an interesting way to re-balance the game and destroy the economy? Would love to hear your thoughts!

What do you mean destroy? Businesses make profit atleast. This doesn't happen often.
I think it is good to have all products bought from the market. The downside is that people without any food production can get without food and must rely on charity from their government, party, mu and/or friends.
In the eUSA there shouldn't be any difficulty to get food. On the national feed you have two programs, most parties and MU's do support too. Join a party and a MU when you are without. At least you can gain some more activity and friends doing so.
There is no need to buy weapons (Q4 weapons are still cheap), no need to use all your energy. Just do the daily order and work. Any extra is good. The daily rewards were big. You can easily buy some food factories and a hunting lodge for raws. Be independent and have fun.
Well but think about it this way. New players, under prepared for this event (someone like myself) jumps right in and tries to keep up. The rewards are good but what used to be manageable (i.e. fighting, leveling, etc.) just gets crazy out out hand. Food prices jump by more than 300% and as the saying goes, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
I don't think it is 'destroying' the economy,.. YES, it is definitely out of wack at the moment...but I think that's a good thing for now as it will burn up a lot of stock people have been hoarding. Also as fpz0rrrr said, people with businesses are finally making some profit for a change which is a nice change for those who have invested a lot, just to make back pennies IF that during non-event time(s),..
I agree what you said about being new and not prepared, but thats part of the learning curve in every game and well, in RL,.. Being in a top notch MU can help you prepare for stuff like this as well and typically other MU members will give out more and help 'front' you items during times like this.
I want old currency system back and different national monetary values :c
Was fun at least.
u try buy few Q7 factories and make profit, im curious
already if u try it u can say: someone destroy economy
and u say about destroy economy but ALL FACTORIES IN GAME PRODUCT FULL FOOD AND WEAPONS
so question is really about destroying if all erep product basic things? i dont think so
People have to make a profit, even if its a tiny bit, from all of their companies or else this game would implode. You cant run a game on negative profit. I don't think there are that many people who pay real $ to stay afloat.
Plato never cared about the economy. Why would he offer a tycoon pack every now and then when most industries in the game cannot pay market salaries and stay profitable?
Other than House and Aircraft companies, you don't have to pay people. It will take A LOT longer to do anything or make any kind of significant money but, you control the outcome.
The economy now is not destreyed, is different! I am making profit of this 😃
How are you making a profit?
Exchange, buy cheap items and sell expensive
Did you guy them before the event or what?
Gifting gold was acceptable, but 100 G per player seems excessive to flood the market with.
