Pfebruary is coming
Pfeiffer.
Good morning, America.
We’ve survived January. Historically one of the more boring months of the year in eRepublik. While much of what I did with the month isn’t something anyone would want to read (and some I couldn’t publish because foreign relations often lead to such situations), I’d like to talk to you all about where we are and where I hope to be going. I say both because this is both an update and a statement of my intent to serve another term as your President.
Domestically, we have a fairly stable status quo. We have for years. This is both good, and bad. While oftentimes internal bickering can distract from outside threats or opportunities, it does drive activity. Oftentimes, I have been at the center of said activity, so I won’t lie and tell you that I’m not thankful for the respite our relative homeostasis. In that same vein, I’ve noticed that even the things which people clamor about when they’re ‘late’ or not exactly how they like them (AARP postings on the feed, as an example), draw little real attention. I’m not quite sure how to solve this, and would like your help in doing so. We need to find a way to drive that internal activity. While this is not a solution, to that end I will give 10,000 monies to the party AND military unit which has the most members comment on this article with something they like and something they dislike about the current state of affairs and/or the game in general. Please avoid direct insults towards other players, that’s not constructive and I’d really rather not wade through that mess.
If you have an idea and want it seen by everyone of substance in the eUS, this will be the place to post it. Stand out ideas will be recognized with equally moneyrific prizes.
I won’t be spam-shouting this article. I expect you to do the work if you want your party and military unit to win this money. Get to gettin.
catch the monies
Our ongoing training wars are...ongoing. Very little to say there, because they’re training wars and that’s kinda boring. I hope to bring you something more exciting soon. Be watching your OMFG WHAT’S GOING ON shouts and alerts.
I’ve been able to rebuild a lot of the relationships internationally for which I was once known. It’s amazing how many ancient players are still kicking around out there, and how many of us can put you in contact with our respective successors. There’s something very comforting in the familiarity of alliance backrooms and bickering in private messages and the quasi-high school he said, she said silliness. I feel that we’ve made good progress in strengthening some bonds, and are making further inroads with some former frenemies.
I’m also glad that doing so no longer requires one to be up 22 hours a day…

Today is Tuesday. The election is next Monday. My aim is to have an article out on Thursday, and on Sunday. I hope that they will largely be responses to the commentary left below. I think that there may still be a few ideas floating around in those brains of yours out there...so show me what you’ve got.
And don’t forget to vote Pfeiffer in your party primaries, and on the 5th of February.
I remain
Yours,
~Pfeiffer

I formatted this on my phone. That’s dedication, y’all.
I think Taylor Swift represents White Pride, do you disavow?

zZzZzZz
Love our programs / hate people who strife for the sake of strife.
I would love to see some "friendly" competitions. Something to drive activity. Damage Contest, Best Comment on a CP Shout/Article..
Stuff to get people more active and involved is a good thing.
I always liked the most hits in one week
My two biggest problems with the game are how the game seems to give more priority to the military aspect than the political or economic parts, and how minor political parties are essentially hidden. The second one in particular is a bit disappointing, since only the top 5 parties are listed in an election, and the "official" in-game list of parties only shows the top 10, with the rest being hidden in the Elections menu or just completely invisible. These are just problems with the design of the game itself, though, and not with the community, which is probably one of the best parts of the entire experience.
From a more policy-based standpoint, I think the AARP program is pretty nice, even though I don't really use it that often.
Pfeiffer commenting with his own multi is a whole new quality!
Kudos.
"Please avoid direct insults towards other players, that’s not constructive and I’d really rather not wade through that mess."
Crap...
But seriously, things are kind of boring. Maybe invade Canada?
Nah, that's been done.
I KNOW! Canada invade US!
Trololololol
Anyhow, good to see you back doing stuff. Take care.
OK my number one frustration with eUSA is our inflated intolerance for one another. While our differences are all contrived around a fantasyland on the internet, the psychology of intolerance that infects irl intolerance works the same way in a browser game.
irl, intolerance leads to an utter deafness to the 'other'. irl intolerance can also be irl deadly.
eRep intolerance, we hope, should never lead to death. But eRep intolerance absolutely makes us deaf to one another.
I mean, playing games on differing "sides" is what makes them fun, right? We make it painful.
Thus the stagnation.
So actually what I hate about the current state of affairs is the stagnation, and I'm diagnosing it as intolerance.
What I do like about the current state of affairs is that all of the infrastructure is there to make the most of what community remains. Some of it has been added by Plato (Nation Feed, Air Combat), and some of it by us (Forums, Discord, good player base). I'm foolish enough to hope for growth and I see our community as a good place for that to happen.
We'll have to solve point 1 though.
I like creative people with their own ideas, and people who deserves respect and accomplishments as a result of their ideas. I dislike people who steal ideas and credits and use it for their own accomplishments.
cool.....
I actually have a question for you, Mr. Pfeiffer.
What do you think of the current state of our bureacracy? Is it too encumbered or not enough? Is it perfect in it's current state? If not, what improvements should it have?
Thats my girl.
The eUSA
What’s goo😛 peace and stability. It makes economic play more profitable and reliable.
What’s not: stagnation. A core group of somewhere around a dozen have been running the show for years. They’re out of ideas, and it shows.
The game
What’s goo😛 Communities and the sandbox that this place has always been.
What’s ba😛 Pack selling, rampant cheating, and a lack of ability for new players to contribute.

I would love a more inclusive approach with new players. I think its worth dedicating extra funds to make sure new players get a head start. To preserve the community we need to make sacrifices to grow our numbers.
30 more days sounds like moar fun!
Where is the fun associated with this presidency? Meet the new boss, same as th old boss...
Exactly
I'd love to see an active media Corps. If you feel like there isn't enough going on to merit publishing, that probably means we need to find things to be doing. As a former CP I know that a lot of the FA stuff can't be public for a long time, but that means we need more domestic efforts or unification projects to talk about at home.
The ongoing wars have been really great thus far, and it sounds like you have plans to continue that, which is good.
...and yet the President managed...what...2/3 articles which said nothing.
Good grief again 😂😂😂😂
What I dont like at the moment is the apathy! However everyone is complaining that the game is boring. Well lets spend some money and have fun! NOOO! Don't spend money because we need a big reserve. Well lets have some higher taxes and spend that and have fun! NOOO. No high taxes. Lets have none if possible! And yes I would like more media from the gov!
suggestions:
1. call for a forum held debate with other CP candidates
-I moderator one with you and Ajay in the past, as well as PP debates (put via my paper) -
2. http://eusaforums.com/forum/index.php/board,142.0.html assign the US army this page, pledge to fund player development programs
- said programs would make good debate fodder, will save ideas until then -
100,000cc says you cant CP sweep 2018
Now THAT'S a fine bet.
