PEACE's Clean Sweep - Losses Reversed

Day 609, 05:23 Published in Austria Austria by Rangeley

Reversing their fortunes from yesterday, PEACE GC has won the battle for Utah, Oregon, and Quebec - destroying the hospital there and overcoming what was seen as "Canada's fortress." Their forces continue to push forward in Montana, where the battle draws to a close with PEACE GC holding the upper hand - and have just launched forward invasions of both Nevada and Wyoming. The last development favoring the allies - the successful resistance war in Prince Edward Island which ended in the night - has now been followed by news that France is moving to re-occupy it.

Messages from PEACE GC continue to hit the US airwaves, with one today reading "I urge you again not to fight, do not make the process of liberation harder for our freedom loving troops," and several recently dealing with the details of what Russian occupied states are currently undergoing. The effectiveness of such methods remains in question, however, as does the issue of which side the propaganda motivates most.

With PEACE GC's victories today, they have countered their losses of yesterday, and momentum is, for the moment, on their side. With the American treasury declining, criticism is beginning to grow of their high wartime taxation not paying the dividends it was advertised to. Instead, higher level weapons have become much more expensive, possibly reducing the overall effectiveness of the allied defense. The Austrian Independent will follow these events as they develop.
