Partiet: Evolution

tl;dr Partiet's goal is to encourage political activity. We aim to give those who want to hold political office the opportunity to do so. For those who don't, Partiet is a place to where you can express your opinions. Our platform is simple: Partiet always works in the best interests of eNorwegians.

You may have noticed a shift in the political map of eNorway.

Our CP is a member of Partiet. The PM is a member of Partiet. The largest party presence in Congress? 35% Partiet.

Don't worry, we have no agenda to push through the government. This is a sign eNorway is changing, however.

When I first came to eNorway and received political approval, I was hesitant to join any political party. Not because I saw anything wrong with other political parties, but because I didn't want to assume that I knew the specific answers to the challenges we were facing after only a few months.

I kept looking, though, and I did see one thing I could support without question. At the time, taulen was the Party President of Partiet, and the party platform rea😛 "Partiet promise to always work in the best interest of eNorway and its members."

This resonated with me because it showed loyalty: by working in eNorway's best interest, we were putting our ecountry first. It also showed integrity: the leadership was clearly putting what's best for the country above all else. Finally, it also showed honor: What nobler cause could we have than serving eNorway? I joined then and I haven't left since.

Today, it is clear that it isn't just Partiet that's willing to put eNorway first. When the eChilean threat reared its head, many individuals stepped up and pulled double duty politically. Many crossed party lines to vote in other parties. Many set their alarms IRL so that they could wake up and vote at the last possible moment to ensure no eChileans got elected. Partiet, in fact, still actively blocks eChileans every election.

As we dealt with this crisis via unity elections, though, we gradually became habituated to voting for familiar faces that we knew wouldn't let us down. And so while we were busy putting eNorway first, we began to leave eNorwegians behind. eNorwegian players have been leaving for other smaller ecountries, looking for their chance to make their mark. Others have simply let their accounts expire. When we do hear from these players before they go, they often express frustration with an inability to be heard or to make a difference.

And so, today, Partiet is evolving to meet the challenges eNorway faces by doing what we can to give everybody a voice. If you've never held political office before, join us and we'll give you the opportunity. If you have and you want to be in Congress again, we'll give you that opportunity. If you want to be CP, we will work there, too. If you don't want to hold office, but you want to support new faces, or if you just want a place to express your opinion, we're here for that, too.

Without new faces, our political process runs the risk of stagnation, and we waste the ambitions of these players who want nothing more than to achieve greatness in the eworld. But if every new idea is chance to make things better, and every eNorwegian that achieves greatness makes eNorway stronger. And so, in order to serve the best interests of eNorway, we have a new platform: Partiet promises to work in the best interests of eNorwegians.
