Once we were soldiers
Nikola barun Jurisic
Citizens of eAustralia and the eWorld,
Tonight, Australia has taken a step which by many has been deemed too far. Despite much criticism for our actions, the Government of eAustralia will stand firm. The response so far to our actions has caused immediate backlash and threats to our nation but we view our conduct as nothing short of how this game should be played.
For well over a year, this game has deteriorated into a replica of Farmville with no real passion being loaded into any wars. Nothing mattered more to players apart from defending Battle Hero medals in a Training War where battles are on a consistent loop. This is not enjoyable and it ruins the game more so than the poor management of game mechanics inflicted upon the populace by Plato.
We as a nation want to show the world what having a good friend truly is. Friendship in a game that self brands the players as a community should mean much more to us as people, more so than having all the world’s damage and fortunes. Australia wants to inspire those who have much bigger firepower than we do. Australia wants to show the world how this game was once played, how it was played long before packs, when respect was something of value. Nowadays, countries are having Training Wars continuously, players are saving up energy bars and stocking up gold. For what? Everyone is relying on Plato to change the game, but it’s the players who are to take blame for the current state of eWorld. It’s the players who agreed to stop appreciating honesty and loyalty and turned this game into a boring grind.
People will accuse us of being Colin’s puppets, they will claim that we are doing this as he asked us to do it. Truth is, Colin didn’t approach Australia at all. It’s simply our decision, our call, our message to the world. We know that we more than likely will not win but this Airstrike is not so much a military move but a statement of support as well as a statement of purpose. We are reminding everyone that there are more important things than power and money.
Before proposing this move we asked our people about their opinion. We explained that this move could result in us being wiped for months. The outcome of our internal vote was 100% in favour of this move. Omega is a symbol for resistance, it’s called “ohm” in physics. Our name wasn’t taken without reason, we’ll be the resistance to the current system by doing what everyone used to do - help our allies no matter what, without asking anything in return because that’s how you play this game, otherwise you could play something else, like Club Penguin.
We were honest to everyone we spoke to before taking this line of action. We informed our allies and our opponents. Some have not welcomed our move and we will face these consequences head on.
Australia would like to continue to develop our friendly relations with our neighbour Peru. We are and we will always be honest to Peru, as long as we feel the same emotion from their side.

Quick response to the Bulgarians saying Australia is ruined.
Are we ruined because we aren't being a puppet or are we ruined cause we're playing a game and taking a chance and facing consequences?
Croatian PTO'er detected!

I think you decided it in the worse time ever.
:rotocafe:
I think its time for some true (tequila) shots... 🙂
Have fun.
Australia still has players? Most of us figured out this game was doomed years ago..
If you don't like farmville, I can point you in the direction of a better place where Australia is strong
Australia is always strong... until beaten up by someone stronger.... law of numbers.

Totally unrelated to the article but there is an awesome NZ movie called 'Once were warriors' thought the title might have been a reference, but a good movie for anyone after something to watch
