Nova Scotia Falls - Fight Spreads to PEI

Day 602, 13:29 Published in Austria Austria by Rangeley

Breaking through the stalemate, forces from PEACE GC led by French commanders have subdued the final resistance in the Nova Scotia underground. Though the Canadian forces had nearly broken out of the underground as recently as an hour before the end of the battle, it seemed that a lack of coordination ultimately did in the defenders. With a lack of new orders from Canadian or American officials, many potentially did not participate in the fight's closing rounds.

But since the fall of Nova Scotia, new Canadian and American orders have been issued urging people to wait, once again, until the later hours of the day to fight in Alaska. Though French forces have launched an invasion of Prince Edward Island, Alaska has taken a clear priority in the North American defensive response. Addressing Canadians in a speech, Prime Minister Jacobi of Canada sounded a defiant note, stating "Today, we may taste defeat... but know this my friends. We will never surrender. Not now, not ever."

The news of Nova Scotia's fall has shocked some, but it is clear that this is merely the opening phase of a world war that will undoubtedly grow larger in the coming days. Questions remain unanswered as to when Hungary will strike, and even where. Additionally, it is unclear what sort of firepower the allied forces can mount in defense of Alaska - which could prove to be a game changing battle in light of Nova Scotia's fall. More updates will come as the story develops.
