No Forums Makes eAustralia Go Crazy! (Updated!)

It has been total chaos here in eAustralia. Throughout the major cities in all the states, thousands of angry and frustrated eAustralians have been rioting uncontrollably and there appears to be no sign of stopping.

The damage can be seen from outer space. I’ve had reporters go down to these bloody streets and the stories they bring back are horrifying. Fires rage out of control. Shattered glass covers the streets. The skies are filled with tear gas. There is looting in every store and people don’t care what store it is – they’re just completely mad to the point they’re breaking into real estate agencies to steal “For Sale” signs.

Hundreds of citizens have been injured or killed and dozens of the eAustralian military members and riot control police have been injured or killed as well. The carnage has seen eAustralian brother turn on eAustralian brother and eAustralian sister turn on eAustralian sister. One reporter phoned in saying that she had seen a mother and father beat their child up for attacking riot police, and then the two proceeded to engage in fisty-cuffs for hitting their own child.



What is the reasoning behind these wild sprees from citizens? The forums are down. Yes, that’s right, the eAustralian forums are down. Without a way to contact love ones or to speak to members of the eAustralian Government, the patience has been wearing extremely thin.

A few days ago the forums went down for a "routine maintenance" but they never came back up. The man in charge of the forums, Deputy Prime Minister Derek Apollyon, stated that they would keep coming up the following day. When the sun rose for the new eDay however, the forums continued to be down.

Finally, after days of built angry, the public snapped. Outraged citizens have spilled onto the streets of eMelbourne, eSydney, eCanberra, eBrisbane, eAdelaide, eDarwin and ePerth! With the Dropbears and the ACUK deployed in eIndia, the military is finding it hard to control the riots.

I tried phoning ePrime Minister Cozza about the situation but security is so tight at his home right now that my call never made it past the first ring dial. I’ve even heard that Dycey needed to show identification before she could enter her own bedroom. Furthermore, they strip searched her before her and Cozza “rocked the Lodge”!



I finally received word back from someone within the government and they told me that “the forums will be up soon”. That’s the same thing we’ve all been hearing for days now! We grow sick and tired of waiting! First we all lost sleep over not having our forums. After that, we wasted time with loved ones because we kept refreshing our pages, hoping that the forums might actually work! I know people who were fired because they were so distracted by the constant checking!

Well we’ve grown tired of it! We might not have the forums to make ourselves be heard, but the riots speak louder than any forum can! This is what happens when an eCountry removes forums from the public! This is what happens when an eCountry takes away the right of speech from citizens even though they have IRC to keep in touch with everyone... but this isn’t about the IRC! This is about our forums!

You don’t take food away from a hungry man, you don’t take the pants off someone who has no other clothes but those pants, and you certainly don’t take the forums away from the eAussies!

Let us all hope that the forums come back up soon before too much damage has been dealt with. Until then…RIOT ON EAUSTRALIA!!!

Update (Day 753): The forums are back! The forums are back! http://community.auserepublik.com/ The riots have come to a complete halt! People are now dancing in the streets! eAustralia is happy again! Hooray!
