Yes the tittle says it...


Here i will highlight one of the newspapers that are to be commended for there work or at least for the effort they try to do.
I will give a short summary describing that paper and why this one was chosen.
And if possible(if the newspaper-owner agrees to it) i'll give a very...very short interview with its creator.


The newspaper is:

- The Cyclist
Owner/editor: Gwom
Most recent article: The Ranking That Matters (3332)

'The Cyclist' is a newspaper with many faces. It mainly got its fame by contests like 'The Golden Bicycle' and 'The Golden Banana'. More recently it has been used for things like GoT roleplaying, my opinion on matters of eNL and the revival of 'The Ranking That Matters' (a series originally made by Walhallah).


Interview with newspaper owner/editor:

Question: Could you tell me why you started this newspaper?
Answer: I started this newspaper a long time ago mainly to write political reports, and articles about the ePolish occupation of eNL at the time.

Question: How do you feel about the negative comments on your articles? Does it effect your articles you write after that?
Answer: I usually don't pay to much attention to them. Only if they contain a constructive element, like improvements I can make, or incorrect facts that need to be adjusted. But if there is only senseless mud trowing, or just hate or trolling I ignore them.
So in a certain way it does effect my writing, as it improves by the remarks of constructive critics.

Question: What are your future plans for your newspaper?
Answer: I used to have the plan to keep doing 'The Golden Bicycle' contest. But the last edition did had such a low participation that I did not feel there was much need for a continuation of the series... Same thing for 'The Golden Banana'. Currently I want to keep publishing 'The Ranking That Matters' articles regularly and maybe a new contest if there is enthusiasm for it 😉 (but I might do that in the article of the Ministry of Education).

Question: Anything else you wish to share here? Last words, advice or promoting something...
Answer: The eDutch media landscape can always use new newspapers, and I encourage everyone to write articles about absolutely anything! Some IRL issue that is on your mind, an eRepbublik event that you want to share your opinion on, a joke, or contest, everything is better than the silence that has reigned in the eDutch media for too long!
