Horrible idea. We can't take on eUK by ourselves, regardless of what you think. It's an occupation of our country waiting to happen. We don't have the support of our allies either because they are either on the way, slightly or entirely occupied. Piss poor planning and a horrible congressman at that.

We elect a CP/MoD team to manage military policy. Going over their heads and trying to pull strings from congress is never helpful. It can put a wrench in carefully-considered plans and makes their job more difficult. And even if this was not the case, a war with the UK is simply not feasible without first getting support from the public and our allies (not to mention we don't have the resources atm).
