ISP What are they up to?

Day 2,124, 21:40 Published in Japan Japan by Boukun Suzaku

An old party that's been through as many ups and downs as our eCountry. Its been large, and small, active and inactive, but what are they up to lately anyway?

About the only thing eJapan at large knows that the Imperial Sun has been involved in of late has been providing temporary shelter to Lolis while their party suffered an... incident. Sure some of our members pop up in various Cabinets, and we even have one as a Country President at the moment. But what does the PARTY do as a group?

Well to tell you the truth, we ourselves have been struggling to answer those questions. Internally, and despite the Imperialistic name, the ISP operates on discussion and votes about items, events and candidatets in eJapan. If congress discusses a new law, than the Sun discusses that law internally, decides where our support will fall, what changes we'd like to see, and we vote on this. The same process applies to most occurances in our beloved eCountry. Thus when ISP moves we move in unison.

Some might question if we move at all of late, and with good reason. ISP used to communicate fairly regularly with the community at large via in-game articles showing what we thought, why, and how we got there. But its been quite some time since anyone has seen those. Well today breaks that cycle.

First of course is our desire for new blood, like all of eJapan we are constantly looking for new members while being wary of the potential disasters immigrants can bring us. Our current Loli population drives home that reality harshly, but to live and grow one must risk. We have not been as aggressive in recruiting of late as we should have, but again, we are changing course for the better.

Another point of discussion is where the Imperial Sun sits on the organization of Military Units and the functionality of the Ministry of Defense's supply system. On this ISP speaks soundly with one voice, we are proponents of strong central authority within official national MU. The commune system has proven itself quite capable of allowing private military units to be self-sufficient and boosting the abilities of the national MU to provide for the nation's war needs. It is the belief of the Imperial Sun Party that only the Imperial Japanese Army and Imperial Army Reserves should receive regular official government based supply. Private MU should be treated as semi-independent commands with their own organization and logistics, beholden to the MoD for direction in times of national need. The formation of established official contracts for the "hiring" of private MU for operations in the name of eJapan would allow them to receive supply for any action taken in the name of the homeland. Similarly official requisition forms should be available for private MU to request supplemental supply from the Ministry of Defense. This supplemental supply should be restricted to weekly or monthly stipends to help them make ends meet.

ISP also feels that, at present, eJapan needs to focus the bulk of its efforts on making the IJA a powerful defensive force as we believe it is highly inappropriate and unsustainable for our country to even consider conquering lands as an aggressor. To conduct operations abroad in support of CoT, MPP Allies, or other needed operations, we have kicked around a few ideas. Right now we would like to see the formation of an "Expeditionary Force" tasked with these duties. As to how to form that expeditionary force, we're still in the early stages of hammering on that idea. We will, of course, keep everyone informed of our evil schemes. 😉

What about Circle of Trust and other alliances? There's been a huge amount of talk on these issues in eJapan as a whole of late. I think our Party President, DankChronic, summed up our stance well, "In the current eWorld, it is much safer to be in a large alliance, even though they care little about the smaller nations, you would be more at risk being neutral. eJapan must choose the best option and hopefully improve relations with nations individually." Idealy, the Imperial sun would like to see a strong eAsian alliance, but that seems far from being a possibility. As Tachibana Kinjiro pointed out a strong eAsian alliance, "can create a peace in eAsian sea which we havent seen for long time..."
Of course we would like to at least create and/or strengthen our friendly ties to our neighbors and fellow alliance members.

That about wraps up our little installment here. We are not dead or inactive eJapan, and we are getting ever more active again. Like eJapan as a whole we shall rise again and march forward towards a new Sunrise. Look forward to hearing from the Imperial Sun Party and its members more often from now on.
