Irish Impeachment Vote Rejected 21-12
Bristel Akina
Since yesterday's shocking turn of events, the "self-imposed" impeachment vote being voted on by the Dail Éireann has failed to be passed.
The final vote tally is 21-12, less than the 66 percent super-majority needed to impeach An Taoiseach (President) Dubhthaigh.

Ok..
Missed by one vote by my math.
Now maybe we can get some work done?
If one of the no votes had been yes it would have passed.
does this give dubh a mandate yes?
Not to point out the obvious, but having over half your TDs not beleiving in you is bad, and Dubh should step down...

"If one of the no votes had been yes it would have passed."
If, lol.
"If" the IFP and the IUP knew how to run a presidential election one of your guys would have gotten the presidency.Either find a nice cushy pillow to sit on to relive some of the bum-pain you are obviously feeling, or relocate to eIraq.
Or eBritain. I'm sure 5n4keyes can help you get citizenship.
You're still on the attack even after your candidate has been vindicated by vote?
Somebody propose another, Dubh obviously doesn't want the job if he is asking people to propose impeachment votes.
Ditto Snake
Not to point out the less obvious (since snake has covered the oh so obvious😛) but it's only a few more votes than Edana got in her first of 3 impeachment attempts. Seems like Presidents can come thru such votes and continue to get the job done...
@Sean: Actually Snake was very critical of Edana.
Good stuff Bristel. Your newspaper has come a long way since I first started checking it out from time to time.
