Join the new world

I am running for the position of Congress Member in Central Greece on September 25. My party affiliation is HPC (Hellenic Popular Coalition). It is my belief that character as evidenced by historical contributions is a more important credential than any pretty list of proposals and promises, so here are those first.



(1) I have helped many of the young players of eGreece "unofficially" in an effort to feed them to the official Ministry of New Players and the tutoring and gifts they provide to get them on their feet during their critical early phase of the game. How many is many? About 500 players throughout eGreece who have under 100 experience and appeared active have been informed by me of the Ministry and of basic game mechanics with reference to my article on the "First 45 Days" of eRepublik in this paper.

(2) I have helped many of the players who have come to eGreece during the perilous times that were faced by eCanada, eSpain, and eUSA to get here. I am grateful for all who have moved to eGreece, with or without assistance, both for the economic and military strength that they lend to the country and for the contribution that they have to make to the cultural life and media and even, if they choose to stay permanently and gain citizenship, by participating politically. The number of persons who received help were about 300, as was documented in my paper "The Underdog's Bark."

(3) I have been very active in the media, both within eGreece and internationally. I have written multiple articles that have achieved #1 within eGreece and have also achieved over 1000 votes for my popular "Business Opportunities in 27 Countries" article. I maintain both an international paper for finance, which was my first one created, and this paper for other interests, including those concerning Greece particularly.

(4) In particular, I have done analysis for eGreece a few times, whether that is documenting the motives and qualities of the immigrants to eGreece, showing the strength of eGreece on the world scene, or presenting analysis of the factors important to business in eGreece. The ability to do this kind of work and to understand this information is of real use to policy making in eGreece.



As to my promises, they are these:

(1) I promise to donate the 5 Gold received from winning the election to the Hellenic Depository.

(2) I promise to continue to be active within eGreece, both checking daily for discussions of proposals and continuing to help those that are new to eGreece, by e-birth or choice.

(3) I promise to continue to be active in the media, using this paper to convey my thoughts and other information on various items before congress in addition to doing the analysis I have always done.

(4) I promise to use my best judgment and reason in coming to a decision on any vote, with full consideration of the arguments of other congress members and of the public.
