How to Win Friends and Influence People

Day 3,068, 17:11 Published in USA Serbia by Adolphus Broadnax

On eRepublik, reputation is everything. If you want a reputation as a fighter or warrior, you have to train, work hard, buy the right gear, and put in the time. This is a war game, and war is a messy affair.

In previous articles I've expounded upon the theory of "stealing" Battlefield Hero awards and my view on the subject. I've mostly gotten agreement from people who have discussed it with me, with the notable exception of many Division 3 players that are not in my military unit.

Many Division 3 players seem to be under the impression that there is a "gentleman's agreement" with regards to the Battlefield Hero medals in Division 3. They've messaged each other, arranged, and colluded to secure Battlefield Hero awards without actually competing for them!

This is just a small sample of the obvious collusion I was able to dig up. I'm sure I could find plenty more proof, but I don't feel more is required. It's openly discussed as if there were a Battlefield Hero Cartel manipulating the results.

So, how does this factor into reputation and influencing people?

I don't play that little game. I play a war game, and I take what I want to take. I take BH when I feel like it. This pisses off quite a few people who want to play on Easy Mode. This has built me a reputation.

Apparently, fighting for BH instead of just dividing them up makes me a "covered [sic] chicken", though I think they meant "coward chicken". All this hatred and whining and the insults are only a smokescreen to cover up and distract from the truth -- these guys are scared of me because I won't roll over and play their little games. They know when I am around they will have to actually earn their stripes (and medals). They know I will fight tooth and nail to make the game more challenging.

After all, who the hell wants to play a military/war game in peacetime?

AB out.
