Great that you did a chart country by country. You should do an article to see if there is any corelation between Resource bonuses (as a measure of the success of a country's Military Units) and Import Tax rates. Congress is more interested in taxing their own people through Income Tax and VAT than taxing importers through a higher Import Tax.
Prices will be kept low as the eUS Market still needs to compete against other countries' markets. So, if I don't like the prices here, I'll travel overseas to make my purchases. With less of a demand domestically, prices here will be driven down due to the seller lowering their prices for the desire of a quick turnaround. Say's Law in action.

18% tax in USA!
Great chart!
USA has high taxes, but citizens are still getting a top-10 take home salary. That's a pretty good deal imo.
@Christopher Edwards II, first off im actually impressed with the usage of Say's Law. I think you are right though, America doesnt need to import much as we have pretty much all the resource bonuses we need plus a large population of resource gatherers, so we keep our income tax high to make sure we get some tax revenue while our import tax is relatively low.
I agree with Christopher's point regarding an additional column needed titled 'Labor cost per RM unit' which would provide valuable comparison data by eCountry.
