Forconin, thief or mastermind?

There has been much of talk about Forconin's decission to withdraw 4000gold from eNorways treasury. Many do not like this and think that he is going to use this gold for his own purposes.
What people do not seem to realize is the fact, that Forconin does not need the gold - he has more than enough of it himself. Also he has brought massive amounts of it, as far as I know anyway. So, why?
When person 1 is in control of some sort of power and suddenly some radical group comes forward (especially the Sovereign Finland with some of its member in this case) hungry for power, anyone should get scared.
Not that SF is some sort of radical group, but it would seem that some of it's members pose very hard views on things. Hence, it would be safe to "safekeep" the gold untill the political situation gets more stable. I mean, really - WHAT IF someone happens to get to power that doesn't know how to use it properly and steals, wastes or something else happens with the gold and it's all gone - what then? What happens when the country NEEDS the gold? Tough luck.
This article is more to tell that Forconin has my support and trust, even if he is in competing party etc etc. If he says he will just keep the gold safe for a while and after everything settles down and eNorway needs the gold, it will be brought back, I trust him.
Why doesn't anyone else? I know its wrong it was taken from treasury without congress approval, but... think about it!

Besides, 235 gold which he left into the state treasury should be enough for one period, easily.
Glad to see that someone stands up with me on this thing.
Well it\'s only matter of point of view. For many Forconin acts like a \"radical group hungry of power\" trying to keep the control of eNorway on himself despite of what the people wants. Forconing\'s only reason is that he does not trust the people he think would grab the power - well I don\'t think many people trust Forconin either, so this is hardly a valid argument... So we come down to alienizing our opponents based on pure speculations. The only fact at this point is that Forconin is the only one that has acted against the laws and will of people of eNorway and taken their gold. For me this is either a very selfish act of a power hungry politican or a sad example of patronizing that should not exist in a democracy we live in.
Exactly. PEOPLE\'s gold. Not forconin\'s or someone elses. But he has stated that the gold will be made available to eNorway whenever there is the need... So - it really wont hurt anyone, in the worst case had he NOT done this, the new people rising to power would\'ve taken it and wasted it on no-go stuff. Then it would have been Forconin\'s fault (atleast from people\'s point of view) again... So...
Who can decide when there is a need for gold? Forconin?
No matter how good his intentions are, this is a democracy and in no circumstances can it be justified that the outgoing president keeps the treasury \"safe\" somewhere. I don\'t believe he\'d use the gold himself, what bugs me is that this isn\'t a standard procedure and he is just asking for trouble and sewing the seeds of mistrust. If this was commonly done before elections, no matter who is leading in the polls, then there\'d be no problem. But then I suppose it should be written in the constitution as well.
Like it or not, it\'s a part of democracy to take the risk of having the next government send all your hard earned gold down the drain. A risk that should\'ve been considered before getting foreign nationals into the country. One day a minority may become the majority.
