For Plato and Such

In real-life some US Military Divisions have designated roles. The 10th Mountain Division originally constituted as a mountain warfare unit, the division was the only one of its size to receive intense specialized training for fighting in mountainous and arctic conditions. The 25th Infantry Division, nicknamed "Tropic Lightning", specializes in Jungle warfare.
Perhaps this event we are witnessing is just a prelude to more skill sets that each fighter gets in battling in a certain terrain. As soldiers progress perhaps Military Units could be formed that specialize in each terrain feature. But if the wig's do this they should make the terrain region specific (i.e. on the map nearly all Saudi Territory would be Desert, while Indonesia would be nearly all Tropical/Jungle).
If they do this in tandem with getting rid of the Natural Enemy Law and its corresponding damage bonus, and replace it with bordering Region Bonuses (an attacker who launches an attack on a region gets a bonus applied in damage equal to the number of territories it currently holds connected to that territory, the defender also gets a bonus in this manner, at times encirclement may take place making defending very difficult, likewise airstrikes deep in enemy territory would be very difficult), the strategy in the game would be more realistic.
It would be more like playing Hearts of Iron, mixed with Civilization, and such.
Will THE WIGS listen? Perhaps.

What game is that SS from?
HoI 3, Google it. 🙂
Is it any good?
Its probably the best out of their series, yes. If you like micro management and have autism.
Sheet, Waruda was faster. That is what she said. :3
I'm no two-pump chump buddy
It is pretty good, but quite complezx imo (in the sense that if you want to micromanage everything, there is a lot to manage).
Terrain selected per region would be pretty cool. But either less terrains or we need to dramatically increase the player base.
I say they should lessen terrains, and ad urban and industrial round near the end of the campaign so as to allow everyone to be on equal footing (no terrain skill required). Kind of like the old wall.

All I can add is that the wigs should not attempt anything because they have proven to be incapable, as evidenced by "perception".
...and higher Q Houses and such.
And the house market is so screwed up at the moment that you can't actually get forward with profit owning a house factory cuz you lose money hiring and buying raw material.
lol your right perception just sits there, they should have waited to add it till it was complete.
Wha???? you mean ill have to wait another 9 years before local government is implemented???
or go back in time by 9 years to when there were mayors.
That’s a pointless argument. No further additions or refinements should be made until this one thing you think is stuffed gets fixed. That way lies madness and stagnation...
More to the point, perception will never be added, because it just entrenched established players advantage over all new players. It would just be like strength all over again.
I have to say if they brought this feature in more permanently and you were given a choice then yes this would most likely be the best way to go about it somewhat, so thumbs up for the obvious lol.

Interesting idea.
And I like Paradoxe's games. It's realy interesting)
My sentiments exactly. The randomsness is ok but what would be better for strategy would be to have regions have several terrains with defensive bonuses that would put some strategy back in the game and give smaller countries a chance to defend themselves.
