This laws purpose to increase the import tax.

Why we need it? Because we need an economic line.

Let me explain, in Japan we have a fortune that our citizens hold. It is normal then that this fortune turns between Japanese.

So if a stranger tries to import, it is normal that he pays much more taxes than the Japanese.

Our government believes that the country's production is self sufficient.

So to benefit the domestic market, we must increase import taxes, there will be no impact on prices so no impact for Japanese citizens!

The goal is to allow a more advantageous market for the Japanese. As said above, you will not have a price increase, it is the foreign sellers who will pay a bigger tax.

This will benefit Japanese sellers who will earn more than their foreign competitors.
