Dutch Marley is NOT evil.

I don't write enough, partly because I'm only really hanging around now to help my friends and enjoy the party. But when I see a good person getting so badly hammered by people who have no freeking idea what they are talking about, well it's time to write.

The theme today is Dutch Marley.
I've been around long enough to remember when Dutch was one of Pizza the Hut's worker bees. I can safely guess that he's done some stuff in his far past that he has regretted many times.
I also remember fairly clearly when the gig was up and Dutch dropped Pizza like a rotten tomato. A lot of good people have been through the inevitable fallout period that can't be avoided when you stake your claim with a maniac only to find out that in addition to being a maniac he's a thief as well. Dutch realized what was up and bolted.
I also remember when he introduced his entrepreneurial plan to develop a voter block of anonymous employees who showed up to work three days per month to find out what their voting orders were. It was controversial. However, compared to the clandestine way the Political party leaders do it, Dutch's method was out in the open. He told you what he was doing it and you were free to not. Dutch totally succeeded in this. He's no dummy.
I also remember when Dutch joined Easy Company, the Militia I also know and love. He came in at a time when the fallout of his association with Pizza had not yet blown over. The power mongers that run the National Forums are neither forgiving nor gracious and they will never trust Dutch because they don't need him. Pressure came down from the manipulators who tried to use OMS funding as leverage to get Dutch booted from Easy Company. Gnilraps risked losing EZC's status with OMS by standing by Dutch. Gnilraps is no power monger, he's a stand up guy who gave Dutch the chance he needed to prove himself. I'll let Gnilraps answer whether or not he regrets it. I seriously doubt it.
I also was around when Dutch got involved in the formation of the United States Marijuana Party with Jude Connors who sold his vision for this party beautifully. If Dutch were a General Cartman pawn, why the hell wait until NOW to do something about it? Cartman is neither patient, intelligent, nor gifted with strategic foresight. He's a brute force. Dutch would have attempted a takeover LONG AGO if Cartman had anything to do with it.

I will be working madly against any STUPID EFFORTS to sell the American public the LIE that Dutch is somehow in bed with General Cartman Lee.
And I will be jumping for joy when he wins.
