That chicken made it to the other side.
The other side is not the other side of the road. It is death. The other side. The chicken was trying to make it to heaven ( the other side ) and ran into the road in order to get hit.

Chickens come from eggs. If it doesn't come from an egg, by definition it's not a chicken.
However lots of things lay eggs, dinosaurs were doin it. An egg doesn't necessarily come from a chicken.
So the first chicken came from an egg that was layed by something that was not quite a chicken
Therefore, the egg came first. I honestly don't understand why this was ever questioned
