What do you do when you hear about a dying old acquaintance?

Social protocol dictates you pay a visit, express fake sympathy, have a banter filled with nostalgia, and a few words of comfort. But if you're like me, you're gonna have none of that. You watch them die a slow painful death, and skip the funeral.
