Yesterday, Lama O. Curlins, currently running for Senator, has opened a new factory aiming to manufacture air craft weapons for Canada. Curlins purchased an abandoned Magnesium refinery in Cape Breton and paid $1500 to convert into into a new factory.
Although the minimum salary offered by Curlins Air Weapons Inc is initially $225 per day, Curlins states that he is hoping to increase the daily pay for the workers by as much as $45 per worker as soon as the company starts to expand.
Curlins Air Weapons Inc claims to be aiming to create weapons for cheaper prices than foreign imports and the only rival domestic manufacturer.

I think you're going to need a bigger building to do it in. 😛
Making Air Weapons isn't really worth it at this point. Also the typical salary on the market is currently running at $300+, so even after you increase the wage by $45 from $225, the total wage is only $270, which leaves you at least $30 short. But I encourage you to keep trying and expanding!
You can consider this a starter industry since there are not many competitors here in Canada. The only domestic rival has five of the weapons in stock as far as I checked. I will produce more for cheaper, at least cheaper than the foreign imports.
Question: have you heard of arbitrage? Might be a cheaper way of making money and supplying cheaper weapons to the public. Certainly far lower start up costs.
There's not a lot of eCanadian air weapon factories because the economics don't support it.
-Canada has no air bonus so each worker makes 5 weapons
-you need 1 unit of raw material
-At 225cc per worker + 60cc per raw the cost of the 5 weapons is 285cc, or 57cc each
You'd need to sell them at 57cc just to break even. Air weapons sell globally for under 49cc. Why would anyone pay 57cc when they could just buy them cheaper in any number of countries?
Its not about nationalism. Its about turning a loonie.
It should be about Nationalism. If we don't TRY to produce our own things, we become dependent, vs. economically independent, like we are now. Sure we can't compete, but we should (and IPC will) buy Canadian first, even if it costs a bit more.
Plus there are NO air weapons virtually on our market, so he has the chance. Let him do it, and if it fails at least he can be proud he tried for Canada.
The only way to change something is to try and change it, not sit back and complain.
But he doesn't have a chance. He either sells them at break-even or he loses money. To ask Canadians to buy air weapons on their market for far more than they can in an allied country just makes Canadians poorer. You are fighting a game mechanic that will not tip in your favor unless Canada can conquer 3 aircraft weapon raw areas. That's highly unlikely, bordering on the improbable.
Lama O. can do whatever he wants, of course. More power to him. But banging your head against an immovable game mechanic is a quick way to bankruptcy.
No worries, I managed to get a Canadian volunteer to agrees to work for $35 per day. Two of the boxes for raw materials for aircraft weapons are now on the market.
Voted for the innovative way to promote your job posting. Got me to click.
What are air weapons?
my breath after i eat spicy food with extra garlic ba-dum-tss heh
Those are weapons used in aerial combat missions. I at one point became a senior airman when participating in "Training Wars" over the Netherlands.
I will start producing air missiles. I am hoping to produce more advanced weapons in the future.
Canad’s airforce bonus is ZERO percent.
Balochistan (Pakistan) has 108% Airforce bonus.
A factory in there can produce more than two times more products, with exactly the same cost.
You can never compete with those companies.
It is much cheaper for you, to buy products from the market, than using a company which can’t even cover its employee’s salary.

The only way to try and compete and beat is to.... try. He will have a lot of work ahead of him, but it's a commendable effort. Positivity and encouragement should be the order of the day!
Sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade. It's like Kevin O'Leary on Shark Tank/Dragon's Den when it calls a company a dog that needs to be brought out back and shot. He's not doing it to be mean, he's saying it to try to convince people to stop wasting their time and money. That's what a lot of people here are saying.
There's nothing commendable about trying to upend economic reality without an innovative business plan and frankly that's just impossible in this game. He can do what he wants but it's not a good idea to be encouraging bad investments.
um.... your supposed to go away didn't you see the super funny Curling meme about you!!

Yeah, it's mud slinging like that that kills this game.
its a joke... and a Curling one at that.... Are you even canadian? Jesus take the stick out of your ass. lighten up. Honestly Im not a Fan of Curlins rhetoric but learn to take a joke all the same.
Oh I'm Canadian, which is why I have respect for everyone, regardless if I agree with them or not. A joke for one can be something else for someone else. I'm sorry you don't like me getting a bit "Stick in my ass" over people making fun of someone. I can take a joke, however, you did not give the impression your comment was in the spirit of joking.
I apologize for my assumption, I did laugh at that article though. lol
