Chris Carnage for Congress

Day 1,340, 18:22 Published in Australia Australia by Chris Carnage

I seek your endorsement to represent the good people of my home state of NSW as a member of congress.

A little about me:

I am a relatively old player, many-times congress member, sometimes minister and deputy minister for health, minister of information and many-times party president. I have served in AAR, ACUK and Dropbears, a number of foreign armies, and in a number of militia groups, including as Captain of the 1st Legion of Crimson Devils. What I'm trying to say is I have loads of experience and enough memory of eAustralia's history to put current events into a wider perspective.

I am not the strongest fighter in eAus, I am not the most accomplished politician, and I am not wealthy or successful in business, unless you count success as always putting the interests of workers above your own greed (which I do). I am consistently active, I have always acted in the best interests of eAustralia, and always tried to do my best for my fellow citizens and that is what is most important for a congress member in my opinion.

I am a proud member of the Australian Communist Party and have dedicated my elife to the pursuit of social justice; liberty, egality and fraternity.

Why I’d like your vote:

As an experienced member of congress (both elected in-game and on forum during periods of occupation) I realise that a single member of congress can only achieve so much. You are but one voice among many. I WILL contribute to debate and discussion, I WILL NOT flame or hate, I WILL always put the interests of those I represent to the fore, and I WILL NOT put my own party political agenda ahead of those I represent. I will provide one more voice of experience and reason.

Should I be elected, one particular area of focus for me in this term will be tax policy. I recently published a series of articles outlining the basics of taxation rules in-game, some principles of good tax policy, and a study of import taxes. While I will participate in all congress discussions, this will be my primary area of focus as I believe we are due for some substantial tax reforms.

Thanks for your time.
