Bucking the Trend

Day 2,172, 22:27 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

I was all set to roll out a cabinet article today. I've filled just about every position, with one exception waiting on confirmation, and most everyone loves to see the cabinet articles pop up. As I sat down to get started I realized I was just going through the expected motions in the expected order of a campaign. As one of Josh Frost's campaign managers I had a front row seat to a very unorthodox campaign. Frost did things his way, kept things close to the vest, and predicted very accurately how things would work themselves out. It was amazing to witness. With that in mind I decided to ask Frost for advice on my next move.

It was kind of an awkward conversation. Nevertheless I've decided to do things with my own style. I will release my cabinet on Saturday. I've assembled one I'm very excited about. There's a common theme this election. Community building, rebuilding, domestic issues, consolidation, etc. Erep is a game on a down trend. Many fondly recall the glory days 2009-2010. Much of our national decay has been blamed on the war. I believe the war only hastened our decadent descent. While the game modules could use an overhaul we have real issues. I believe we can tackle many of our ills.

Often we go into a project expecting things to go a certain way. Rarely do things pan out the way we envision them. The key to success is rolling with the waves, and continuing to press on. It's been said of me that I'm determined in my pursuit of goals and aggressive in the face of obstacles. It's been said I can be abrasive and rub those who disagree with me the wrong way. I agree with those statements. How then can I run on a platform of community building together? Simply put, I'm not running on a kumbaya let's all hold hands and love one another approach. I'm running to overcome the obstacles in our path.

I have a goal: broaden, deepen, and expand Interior/Education. The parties hold forum games, irc games, contests, and awards. These are fantastic tools at the Party level. I want to see that happen at the National level. Bank up to Strength up is an awesome program, as is meals on wheels. I want them expanded. For a long time the economy tanked. Items were dropped from the budget line by line until only two remaine😛 MPP and USAF. The work tax was not the fix we were expecting, nor was it imo the best one, but it's what we were given. As President I would propose we grow the scope and reach of Interior/Education by cutting taxes to 8% and reroute the surplus to additional line items on the budget. Poland, Spain and Serbia have a few things in common high bonuses (probably out of easy reach for us at this moment), low taxes, high population, and high revenue. Instead of growing our money stockpile let's grow the community. The revenue will follow. The damage will follow. The activity will follow. The obstacles will fall.
