A Story from James McNamara, a CC member

Day 800, 18:36 Published in Canada Canada by Lord Penguin

The ocean spray, hit my face, it stung my eyes, I landed back onto home soil, distress was etched into my face, so is the face of all the survivors, we stormed into Whales, but were pushed back, we weren't suppose to win, it was a distraction, needless loss for, what I'm not sure. I helped Dycey up, she grunted, getting hit with a bullet isn’t the easiest thing to shrug off, but if she had not I wouldn’t had been here, she cover the retreat, I was pinned, she god bless fought them off long enough for me to make it back to the ship, but the thing was when you cover the retreat, there is no one to cover yours, she got onto the ship just as the bullet hit. She fell and all rushed to her side, and hauled her ass to med bay. She was lucky other were not.

I get back to see, nothing, no salutes, no clapping, but scowl, why? I realize it’s because I wear the Cog and they wear the Leaf, what madness is this? I fought alongside the Canadian forces, just because I bear a different logo that means I am lower than them? So what do I do but scowled back, a cycle that has been going around and around again.

It the new deal to bash the CC, it makes you popular with top political figures, and they are serprised when we bash them back, I never liked politics, bull****, we fight for Canada just like them! We bleed and we suffer losses! What makes us so dam different! Just because we are independent? A little brash? We say what needs to be said, and we lighten the day for us all.

I think as stare out over the sea to where the storm is brewing, it’s getting to our leader, he being pushed to the edge, that isn’t good, I don’t want the CC to leave, because I'm staying here, there is a dark force brewing over the sea and its hungry, if we don’t stop squealing and work the **** together, then those who wish us harm, will come, and destroy, make us loose what is the most precious, looking down I see a leaf, I hold it up, and whisper;

"Oh Canada, I stand on guard for thee"
