16 Million Dollars Wasted, Should Congress Limit the CP?

Background
For years, public taxes have been held in the accounts of private citizens. This has lead to concerns of fraud, theft and mismanagement. Many prominent congressmen in both the SFP and Blacksheep have raised concerns but were cast aside by the status quo. The general consensus has been that the we need greater transparency but the elites have constantly cited security concerns.
This really is not a new concern, back when I was in congress in 2011 I recall inquiries into missing funds at the hands of Publius.
Current State of Affairs
After a vigorous investigation into the 300% tax increase that has been inflicted unto the nation, it was discovered that America is running low on reserves but why.The answer is none other than the Balkans.Very recently you will recall the Greece v. Slovenia battle, it was an epic battle, that took place during the 10th anniversary. During this battle 16 Million dollars in CO funds were wasted on a single battle.
Call to Action
Three things come to mind, 1st this is criminally stupid. 2nd Why on gods earth do we have an alliance with the Balkans, they have historically been a money pit. 3rd Should Congress place limits on the CP, as to prevent this sort of gross negligence from occurring?
As of today, I no longer trust the leadership with tax money and I hope congress can publicly investigate and provide much needed transparency.

We gave them money to put Co's obviously. Greece is constantly getting rekted, they didn't have that in reserve.
You can't reasonably infer that from the information available. Greece has plenty of allies and, in my time in Congress (2 months, so not a lot, but some), Congress has been asked for approval of putting CO's on foreign battles. I don't think I can give specifics because it's in the private congress thread.
I don't mean to stick up for the "elite." I have my gripes, but I'd rather stick to verifiable truth when addressing those gripes as opposed to jumping to worst-case-scenarios.

Balkans allies are a money pit.
The fact this was kept hidden from public view is very telling.
16 million of SOMEONE's money is gone, you are saying it belonged exclusively to Greece, I don't buy that one bit. It is practically impossible.
You really can't say I am wrong because the money is held in private accounts. The evidence is pretty damning.

Just so everyone knows Greece makes 5k a day whereas eUSA makes 200k a day. Is it really an GRAND assumption where the 16 million dollars came from?
Yes, because it didn't come from us.
Naturally, it required Greece 16kk around the 10th anniversary. During this time, the average player had 3-4 times as much health and got other gifts to drive the damage and therefore the cost up.
No battle on a normal day will cost that much. 16kk is what roughly 1 trilion costs.
It is far beyond stupid spending a cent on COs in such times.
Now we have to pay for their stupidity.

Earthlings, when you see eUS military units setting huge combat orders in battles, take a look at the tanks that win the medals!

He takes your money, the money collected through taxes.
The pattern is obvious, if you have eyes to see!
We didn't spend anything though.

There is a valid case to be made about low taxes, the best way to assure eUSA defense and/or even the best way to project eUSA military strength abroad. You however do not help any of these efforts by distorting the truth about what the eUSA spent in the Greece/Slovenia.
The 16 million referenced was not a eUSA expenditure. I grant you it is highly speculative what value the 16 million spent during the anniversary event has on any ongoing evaluation of reserve needs. Quoting expenditures not made doesn't further any argument and allows those that favor 'max tax' to paint those opposed with the broad brush of being illogical 'low tax' madmen.
I also want to address the anti-Balkans reference. First, I am not sure how you could play this game without being involved in the Balkans, either directly or thru surrogates. The number of nations, cultures, real life residents of the area that play the game all mean that all nations in a meaningful alliance will have a partner, maybe two, in the Balkans region.
Your reference to Balkans brings back the old argument made years ago that we should retreat from the Balkans. Please remember what happened when we retreated from the Balkans the last time and set up a more western hemisphere based alliance, IT WAS A TERRIBLE FAILURE! We need support and partners in all regions because of the round the clock nature of the wars these days. That includes having partners in the Balkan region.
