[WTP] Sounds Like A Melody

Day 3,050, 19:51 Published in USA United Kingdom by actualguns

Howdy folks,

For those of you who do not know me, I am Ray of Sunshine, Ray for short – if you wish. I do not write a lot of articles for a reason most folks in the party know, I like communicating by private messages and on IRC far more than writing these boring, static articles. It is more of my style and I like one-on-one chats with nice people like yourself more than these jumbled messes people call articles. This article is going to cover a few lovely topics and a topic which I find a bit worrisome.

So, let’s get down to business.

WTP Congressional Elections

Goodness gracious, we did an excellent job this time about. Our congress representation has grown by two members from last month. We now have eleven members in our Congressional delegation! I believe that we have one of the best delegations in our party’s history – and the best this term (although that might not mean anything considering I am the party president!).
So, we’ve got a lot of folks in Congress. What now?

WTP Congressional Platform

While our party’s congress critters (Not a joke, we did elect a Raccoon to congress after all!) all have the ability to make free decisions that they think benefit our community in the best manner, I am creating a suggested congressional platform for this term.

My platform for this term is as so:

1) Ensure that the Speaker of the House is a person who does not tolerate nonsense, trolling, and low-quality joke legislation.

2) Ensure that the recent bill regarding the USAF is honored by all parties so that our nation’s military unit can develop into a force that is both loyal to our nation and is able to compete with our nation’s extensive and heavily-funded private military units.

3) Work on establishing a tax rate that is fair for the average American and allows our government ample funding to defend itself from foreign powers and promote the welfare of the nation.

4) Creating measures to prevent excessive offensive wars that drain our reserves and thus perpetuate an endless cycle of high taxes followed by lower taxes followed by high taxes, ad nauseam.

Note: This is my personal platform and may not be the platform of the party as a whole. Some folks may disagree with these points and that is OK. Disagreement isn’t the end of the world as we know it and who knows, maybe someone else has a better idea of things than I do. I wouldn’t doubt it at all!

Administration's Handling of Senyraku:

I’m a bit disappointed in the administration in regard to the treatment of Senyraku. Senyraku followed through with an obligation that he had made – he borrowed gold from The Dark Knight and in exchange made the promise that he would pay The Dark Knight at a later point in time. When he did so, he exchanged a military unit with TDK. That is the extent of Senyraku’s transaction. After that transfer, Senyraku had no control of what TDK did with the military unit.

Here is the transaction:

Party A borrows funds from Party B and uses a military unit as collateral
Party B calls the loan from Party A and Party A transfers the military to Party B or an agent of Party B.
Party B then sells the military to Party C, who uses it to start a war.

Is Party A really responsible for the actions of Party C? I would think not.

If Senyraku is responsible for the actions of the third party, then every citizen of the United States is a traitor. If you produce goods, you’ve probably sold food to a foreigner who has fought or contributed goods to an airstrike of the United States or one of its allies. If you don’t produce goods, your inaction to buy something on the market has allowed a foreigner who has fought the United States to purchase it and use it against the US or one of its allies. If you have bought gold using USD on the market, you have eventually funded a third-party who fought against the United States or one of her allies.

Shame on you!

That sounds fair, right? Not particularly.

I am not attacking Israel personally; he is a nice fellow. I just wish he had stated that he wanted to replace Senyraku (which is he is allowed to do via the executive’s right to organize itself as it sees fit) with someone else. He didn’t have to write an article insulting Senyraku at the very get go. That is the only thing I find at fault. Otherwise, Israel has been an excellent President with whom I like on a personal level (but do occasionally disagree with his policy decisions).

Upcoming Presidential Election:

I’ll be creating the endorsement thread on the forums shortly. So, if you haven’t already joined – you ought to! I’m not certain who I will personally be endorsing just yet, but I will probably have a clear idea soon.

Well, I believe that is about it for this article!

Until next time,

Ray of Sunshine
Party President of We The People
