[TB4CP] Let's Shake and Bake!

Day 3,509, 20:29 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

Greetings fellow Citizens of the eUSA. I won’t mince words with you. I am announcing my intention to run for Country President. Elections are about choices and it is my intention to provide one July 5th. I readily admit at the start I have not been strongly active the last year or so. Personal/marital issues initially kept me preoccupied and after the flood here in Louisiana August of 2016 I was slammed at work. Last month the onslaught finally ceased. My days of working 60+ hours a week have come to an end. At least until the Holiday season begins to creep up on us again. For now however, I am blissfully available to serve the eUSA in whatever capacity needed.

Many of you know me. I have been President 4 times. I have served in many administrations, held many Party and MU positions. I know this game. I know this nation. I know how to lead, make hard choices, and deal with the fallout of those hard choices. I put the players who work in my Cabinets forward when they do good work and take responsibility when they do not. I take great pride in no strings attached helping others succeed. eRepublik, the eUSA, and the Federalist Party are irretrievably a part of me.

My platform is a simple one. I intend to strengthen ties to our allies, thus continuing to secure our second to none geopolitical position in the eWorld.  I also intend to follow the established tradition of placing talented players in a position to prove themselves regardless of Party affiliation. As aforementioned giving others a boost in their eCareers is a source of great pride to me, and I believe crucial to the continued functioning of the eUSA. Lastly we will continue to revitalize our domestic programs. Sometimes I look around the eUSA. In game, in my MU, various forums, discord, etc. I see how quiet things have become and it saddens me.

eRepublik on its own is not a fantastic game. However, it has provided us a venue to create a community. A community that was organized, vibrant, and very engaging. Many have said the game killed that community. Maybe to an extent it has damaged it, but the in game experience today is not all that different from how it was late 2013- 2014 when we had a much more dynamic community. Yes even then it was a shadow of its former self, but I think any of us still here would love to see as diverse and deep a player base as what we had just 3 years ago. In short blaming Plato while fun and deserved will not bring players back or attract new ones.

I do not have a silver bullet or magical all curing panacea for what ails us. However, I have long believed that inclusion and opportunity go a long way towards keeping people invested in our nation. As I have said in the past those who take ownership of their, Party/MU/Nation will be far more actively involved in the day to day needed to run them. I will bring that approach to the Presidency if elected. That is why I am running. That is why I am asking for your Vote.
