[PotUS] In Review & Announcement
Orikfricai
Announcement first!
I am running for re-election for October 2016.
I guess that means there's going to be even MORE Orik media as I still have a country to run at the same time.
Overall, so far, this term has been a success for me, and I'd like to continue my efforts to help guide the eUSA as Country President in October.
So, when we left off last time, Dinnyin had just been appointed Vice President. He was immediately given the daunting task of facilitating the USAF discussion.
We wiped Indonesia and began preparing for an attack on Mexibro. During the waiting period, Congress declined our attempt to NE Australia as a road to New Zealand. Their timing was fortuitous, however, because we were asked to help land airstrikes for Greece, Argentina, and Brazil against FYROM in India. Unfortunately, we were only able to help Greece land, and they were quickly removed.
Dining options in NY were discussed for Dinnyin's trip. "The Smith" was his final decision.
USAF was discussed heavily the next few days and continues to be discussed in both the PDB and the Situation Room. More on this later.
I fell in an attic at work and cracked a couple of my ribs as I went through my customer's ceiling and disappeared from the PDB for around 12 hours while I was in the hospital. Good times! Moral of the story, don't rush your last job of the day. I was encouraged to milk my injury for all it was worth by imploring my wife to retrieve ice cream on the basis that I had done it plenty for my wife when she was pregnant at the beginning of the year. Lol.
Evry admitted the CBO is buried in the backyard because banks are not to be trusted.
Oblige Netflix and chilled and Fingerguns had to attend a company picnic that, unfortunately, was not rained out. College football was discussed.
Mexibro has left Adriatica and is currently (https://www.erepublik.com/en/main/law/Mexico/181915) joining Pacifica.
This is the section where I talk about USAF. However, before I do that, I'd like to present:
[WHPR] National Airborne Unit announced!
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2614929
I'm excited to announce that the Executive is establishing a National Airborne Unit! We purchased the existing MU that was generously provided by Custer and we'll be working hard to have it operational by the end of this term!
Tyler Bubblar was named CO, Dinnyin was tasked with assembling the educational elements, and Tyler will be bankrolling this wholly for the time being until there are firm numbers in place to bring to Congress to request funding.
Right now we're determining supplies, commune requirements, how to provide gold for new Perception TG's when they exist, name, and admission requirements.
If you're interested in being involved, please message Tyler, Dinnyin, or myself.
So, on to USAF. With the Airborne unit established, we've cleared the way for USAF to continue their main focus of providing ground support. While USAF players will also likely be building up their ATA combat prowess, the Airborne unit is for newer/lower strength players that will likely never catch up strength-wise to be effective on the ground.
Hekter stepped up big, poaled the unit, and provided the Executive and USAF Task Force with the data. We'll now be moving forward with this. Rainy, Tyler, Hekter, and DMJ are continuing to work on retooling the communes and supply structure.
That being said, there's still work to do!
I'm working with Comet Academy on scrounging up a list of all past/present DoE/DoI/DoCA articles to post to the Welcome Center on the eUS forums so they're nicely organized and in one place.
USAF and the new National Airborne unit still require work.
Pacifica is currently not involved in the World War outside of supporting our allies in their efforts. However, in the ever-evolving military landscape, it would be naive to think we'll stay out of it forever. We'll be ready to roll when that happens.
Indonesia and UK managed to remove us from Sumatra and Whales while we were assisting the Greek/Arg/Bra airstrikes and I'd like to retake those.
There're rumblings of even more Pacifica additions?! Hmm.....

10 days between articles... Thought that was an area you were targeting for improvement?
You should consult with Gnil on the new Airborne division of USAF considering what he has done to create the EZC Airborne.
It's not a division of USAF. It's a new MU completely!
Gnilraps has been very involved with the creation of the unit and his input has been highly valued.

The work left to do at the end of your term is the same work that was there at the start of your term.
How much of that work did he receive support for and how much of it was simply put off so that Pfeiffer Period could finish it in order to claim it as his own if he wins?
For a proud and horny Fed you sure seem to support the USWP a lot. Maybe you should just defect to the USWP. Oh, wait, most of your party is ex-USWP members or no?
A CP doesn't need to 'get' support for anything. He can work on it himself or appoint someone capable to work on something.
A CP can not do it all, but you knew that. They must receive multi-partisan help or any CP will simply be a place marker, but you knew that also.
I will say I was impressed to find out that DMJ -who rage quit the game- is still working in the shadows of the eUSA Forum trying to salvage an MU that received years of funding and which accomplished zilch.
Gah, Frank! You're so good at getting to the truth of every conspiracy. Orik put Pfeiffer in charge of reforming the USAF and he intentionally dropped the ball and then pulled a switcheroo by just creating a totally different MU. He also put him in charge of the apparently massive task of gathering up some links and posting them on the forum. Pfeiffer didn't do that either...ON PURPOSE.
#trueconfessions
Funny you should user Pfeiffer Period in your example when I never even mentioned him as one of the citizens which were tasked with a job but thanks for confirming that he was. I was simply pointing out that he would benefit the most from such jobs not getting done.
Good luck for the next CP election.
Baaaaaaaa
FIST
Took kind of very long to do this MU thing though and now it seems sorta rushed towards the end of the term? What happens with the current USAF? Left to further rot and die?
What I wish to know is will this new unit be receiving government funding?
As for the USAF, they are a private MU and if they rot and die it is their own fault.
I'll be footing the bill for now. Once I've built up the unit into something and know what the baseline is I'll ask for some subsidies to augment but I'll continue to foot the bulk of the costs.
Franklin Stone it's like you don't even read WHPR. lol
Or maybe I simply wanted to confirmation....
We're working on revamping USAF supplies and communes. Then we'll flesh it out from there.
Excellent
