Hello everyone, the following article is a copy and paste from a thread i started on the eUS forums a little while ago. That will explain some of the odd formatting as it all doesn't translate well. I hope this causes some people, and some GMs to wake up when it comes to current pricing, but I also hope this helps people. After creating my erepublik Force Calculator on GoogleDocs I came to a few revelations. Although these revelations are very simple, and obvious once you think about them. I feel that they have been generally overlooked. I feel it is possible to increase our damage potential in each battle through proper use of our tanks. This could save us Gold if we wanted to cut back, or we could spend the same amount of Gold but take out considerable more damage. The follow are my calculations to see which is the best course of action for any tank. This will include the best way to get the most amount of attacks in per day.

Although these calculations are correct. My force calculator is flawed. For some unknown reason it is almost always short by exactly 30 points of what your actual damage may be in a battle. I know some (or all.. idk) of this information might be old to our experienced fighters, but hopefully it will be useful


The Numbers

Of course all of these figures are going to be hypothetical, but they work well enough that we can run with them.

Editors Note: I got about that far into making these tables by hand and then decided to have my python program do it for me. so that will explain the change in format. Also, to make up for the odd 30 points lost in my calculations i just added them to the final numbers

All The Numbers
Wellness is assumed to always be 100 and trivia is assumed to always be correct.

Because all the code was too long I had to move it to a subsequent post.


Okay now that we've got the numbers we can begin to compare the differences in total force taken out relative to the amount of money spent.

Since I am really starting this to go over most efficient weapons used in battle lets take an example out of the pile. Lets go with someone with 8 strength, and a rank of Captain.

Now according to these numbers the difference in damage during one fight between a Q5 weapon and a Q1 weapon is 32 points total. Where as the difference between Q5 and Q3 is only 16 points. Now lets go the prices.

Q1 30.3 USDor .48 GOLD Q2 50.5 USDor .81 GOLD Q3 70.7 USDor 1.13 GOLD Q4 119.7 USD or 1.92 GOLD Q5 222.6 USD or 3.56 GOLD Now according to these numbers (which I know are inflated due to scarcity of production, increase in relative demand because of the war, and a hundred other factors. The point is the difference in prices, those relatively stay the same) the difference between a Q5 weapon and a Q1 weapon is 192 USD (3.07G). While the difference between a Q5 and a Q3 is 151 USD (2.41G). Moving along lets now assume that every fight costs at a minimum 2 GOLD. After every fight a tank (or anyone with the funds and the know how) will buy one wellness package to get them back up to 100 wellness before their next fight. This fact alone will maximize their total force dealt. [b]Crunching the numbers[/b] Now what we need to do is find out what is the most efficient course of action. In other words, what will get us the most damage taken out with the least amount of fights. We are at war. We need to take out 5,000 damage from the wall to win the battle. Noone is left but you and an enormous amount of money. lets see what would be the best way to take out that kind of damage. with each type of weapon. 5000 / 110 = 46 Fights with Q5 5000 / 102 = 49 Fights with Q4 5000 / 94 = 53 Fights with Q3 5000 / 86 = 58 Fights with Q2 5000 / 78 = 64 Fights with Q1 Okay now that we know exactly how many fights it would take to take out that much damage we can calculate the cost for each outcome in GOLD. Q5 46 * 2 = 92 GOLD for wellness 46 * 3.56 = 163 GOLD for weapons Total = 255 GOLD for 5000 points of Damage Q4 49 * 2 = 98 GOLD for wellness 49 * 1.92 = 94 GOLD for weapons Total = 192 GOLD for 5000 points of Damage Q3 53 * 2 = 106 GOLD for wellness 53 * 1.13 = 60 GOLD for weapons Total = 166 GOLD for 5000 points of Damage Q2 58 * 2 = 116 GOLD for wellness 58 * .81 = 47 GOLD for weapons Total = 163 GOLD for 5000 points of Damage Q1 64 * 2 = 128 GOLD for wellness 64 * .48 = 31 GOLD for weapons Total = 159 GOLD for 5000 points of Damage So Basically with the was weapons are currently priced it is cheaper to go with Q1 weapons and fight more times then it is to fight with Q5s. So I guess this all comes to down to a matter of time. How much time do you have to battle over and over. If you fight with Q1 weapons instead of Q5s you will need to fight an average of ~18 times more, but (with current prices) you will also save yourself 96 GOLD (6800 USD). [b]Pinching Pennies[/b] Now lets reverse the numbers and work from a certain amount of money instead of from an unlimited amount. This time we will just try to maximize force dealt. I have a feeling the numbers will be similar, but we will find out. Lets say we have 85 GOLD to our name (i'm just gonna assume you can buy weapons for GOLD) and we want to blow all of it for the fame and glory of battle. Now we dont want to just spend all our money on 5 Q5s and not be able to fight anymore, and you certainly don't want to buy a crap load of Q1s and not even do any damage. Lets find out what goes on.
