[DC] Just a few ideas

Day 3,562, 06:21 Published in Ireland Croatia by Nikola barun Jurisic

Alright lads,
There’s been several things which has been rumbling through my head. Some ideas which could help eIreland grow further, I’m actually very happy and satisfied with the current situation in terms of active population. While the world has been decreasing in number of people playing anywhere we’ve stayed on pretty much same level. Obviously our inner madness works well for addiction to this game. But...what can we do to make things happen while involving everyone who’d like to be involved? Do you have any ideas?

I’ve had few “rumbling” through my head. So let me share the idea with you, so we can work on it later if you find it well thought.

1) Dublin Communes

I’m not sure at which point this has stopped, but Dublin Communes were really a nice way to include many people in decision making process and also they could be used to inform people about all the information they need. We can make Dublin Communes as “direct democracy” voting tool or just as discussion platform based messages. I’d go for the later since we have congress now so there’s no need for another complicated meta-game thingy, but Dublin Communes are great for improving the community communication and production of ideas.

2) Who are the Fighting Irish?

Knowing our own strengths and weaknesses is something we should use in here. If we could make a full list of all our active citizens, sort all of us within divisions, check where we’re stronger and where we could use help we will know better how to make important decisions. That’s from the military point of view. We could make a database of all our active soldiers who would get messaged with battle priorities any time there’s an important battle.

On the other hand, from economy aspect we could use the list to see who has which companies, which taxes are too high, what can we do to make production profitable to everyone who has their companies in Ireland. We don’t even know who has them here, we don’t know what our citizens are producing and how can we help them. We need to make the whole analyze of our production capabilities. Is producing in Ireland profitable? Can it get more profitable for everyone? What taxes would suit our country the best? We have no idea!

We need to make economy tests and make it easier for individual producers to make profit. Don’t forget that those individuals are the people who will be there first when it comes to defending our country. Let’s make life easier for them too. Taxes can hardly save a country when it comes to war. We’re not as big as Serbia who can get 300k per day through taxes. Our amounts can’t help us. While Serbia can get up to 300k Ireland will have to settle for 6-7k per day. When it comes to war Serbia will need to use much less money for CO’s than Ireland regardless of taxes income. However, if we can make a country of strong and rich individuals then those individuals will take defending of our country much more seriously since it will be a community which allowed them to establish themselves as producers.

3) Discord strikes

I don’t know about you, but the best time I had in Erepublik were when things were really active on IRC/Discord. I know many people hates using non-game apps when it comes to communication, but the feeling you get when you hit with your mates for your ally doesn’t have the price. That’s the whole point of this game. Helping friends, having fun with your mates and thinking about ways to defeat your enemy.

We’re not a big country. 20 of us would make a difference. I promise you that 20 active Irish citizens on Discord when we organise a strike would make such a deep mark in our allies’s minds. Imagine that for example our allies in Italy needs help. They’re running out of health, weapons and firepower, the battle is really close. Irish strike has organised for the last 10 minutes of battle, 20 of us comes in and turn the walls….for me there’s no better feeling than this. I believe we’re not all the same when it comes to what we enjoy, but I still haven’t met someone who didn’t enjoy this.

Let me know what you think about these, I’m looking forward to your feedback. Knowing myself I’ll start all of this anyway (lol), but I’m sure that discussion can always improve things. Also, feel free to comment, I’m doing those annoying 25 comments missions so...

Always yours,
Don Croata
