[Conway] This Is The End

Day 1,535, 13:20 Published in Ireland Ireland by MrConway

Friends & Foes,

I am writing this article to say goodbye but more importantly to say thank you. I am close to two years playing this game, so much has changed from what it started as. I am leaving eRepublik for real life reasons. I will be two clicking but not too much. This article is vey much informal and I didn't put too much effort/attention into it.

Tomorrow I am heading to Spain to compete in the European Clubs Cross Country Championship, I’m running under20 (Junior), our team is made up of 15/16 year olds which to be honest is quite impressive. Over Easter I’m going Portugal for a running training camp, for 3 weeks in April/May I am going travelling around Mexico and Guatemala and in June/July I am going away 3 weeks to the Gaeltacht.

I will be away so much I don’t feel I have the time to commit myself as much as I have to this game recently. The past month I have been Commander of the Irish Army. I wanted to do something useful for my last month and aimed at becoming CP, I stepped out of the election in support of MUFC92 cause is fairness, JSK would be shockingly bad. Then I was appointed the vacant role as Commander of the IA. The work at start was enjoyable, you feel useful. After about two weeks you get fed up though of logging on and supplying around 30 soldiers, answering PM’s from soldiers complaining they never got their supplies when they didn’t fill out your form. It really pissed me off.

One thing I do not enjoy about eIreland is our population. I am not being racist and all that crap but I wish we had more real life Irish and less of the foreign nationals, I love the guys, without them Ireland would be nothing and we owe them for keeping us here. But I wish we had more real life Irish players. Where the Irish Army had more than 4 Irish, not even 25% of members were real life Irish. Often on the IRC conversations would take place in Croatian or whatever people were speaking and this annoyed me. I started to kick them.

The whole point of eRepublik has faded for me. War is too easy and this has made the game boring. There used to be excitement when your country was at war, you really felt proud and got into all the Nationalist stuff and it was all good. But now with the Natural Enemy law, war is just like buying Q1 food except its free. Nothing beats the early days of taking Northern Ireland. Best times on eRepublik.

There’s not many people I want to say cheers to, to be honest you all have been great help to me in some way or another. Apart from someone but I won’t make them feel happy by calling them a c**t.

I do want to say thanks though to a few people.

Connell Rath (Dead Citizen) he was definetly one my best mates in the game, taught me everything and was a good lad. Still talk with him occasionally on Skype. Told me today he got 98% in his final year of college and said sometihng like it was a big deal.

All the ICA guys: Ibhoy, Padraig, CT , OJ - probably the main guys in the ICA I really dealt with. Possibly the funniest and soundest guys on the internet. I really question why they spend their nights in playing this when they could go out and have more craic.

MUFC92, Ivan D. Petkov, Columbia and whoever else was fairly high up there with me in the Irish Army. Cheers for all the help and support. Go quit too.

Soldiers of the IA, stop moaning and be happy.

Libertad - Learn game mechanics and understand ONE will liberate their countries. Your in a war game where there are alliances, cop on and go kill Serbians or something, be useful rather than the “heroic liberators” you want yourselves to be portrayed as.

Before I proper quit, next week I will finish off my project as MoNC and make that New Citizens Help Centre. Well start it, been lazy but might as well do something for the guys that deserve it done.

I ain’t going to waste too much time anymore, still need to pack. Also if anyone wants an interview before I quit have questions sent to me ASAP...... That’s all from me.

I Quit.

Tiocfaidh Ar Lá,
Conway.
