I've got no idea what parameters i'm looking for in selecting a home city

So I figured it put it out to the community:

any recommended locations?
any recommended resources to learn more about the implications of this decision?

Location is important when you have houses and factories. Now stay anywhere you want, it is pretty much the same thing.

Where you reside gives you bonuses I posted my resident and it's bonuses for example.
The more players that reside in 1 location the lower the bonuses get.

City bonus: +20% House durability
House bonus: +10 Energy / 6 minutes, +1160 Energy pool
Central Park bonus: +2 Energy / 6 minutes, +100 Energy pool)

You also probably want to find a spot that does not flip flop controllers regularly I think DC, and Alaska are fair consistently always property of US.

Pick a "safe" region (less likely to be occupied)

Current Safe Regions - regions that are training partners won't occupy - except briefly when there is a need for them to move to another region. So residence should be in one of these

Alaska
California
Florida
Nebraska
Tennessee
Washington
Washington, D.C.
