We Must Think And Act Anew

Day 2,005, 18:59 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

It's been over a week since my last article, so that's no good. I've been concentrating on my job as MoFA since the start of the term and haven't found the time to write for myself. I'm still doing the best that I can with regard to our foreign affairs and helping out Artela wherever I can. But I don't want to write as the MoFA right now, so take whatever follows in this article as my own personal opinion. I'll give myself some freedom to write, but I don't want to give opinions on foreign affairs right now since it might conflict with my official duties.

So I guess I'll talk about some domestic stuff for a bit. Party President elections just occurred and it looks like all parties targeted by the PTO were secured by ATO. You can read more about that in the latest WHPR. We also just had a turnover in every single party this month, which means some fresh leadership everywhere. I wish BigCDizzle, Othere, Free Area, and Hale26 the best of luck this month in directing their parties. I'm friends with most of them, so I know we're in good hands. Hopefully with all the new blood we'll see new ideas, new initiative, and most importantly, increased cooperation between the parties. You can say a lot of negativity about unity, but one thing it has done is made all the Top 4 work together, and this can especially be seen by Othere beating out the attempted PTO of USWP with the help of American voters. It'll be an interesting month for these party presidents as most parties seem to be undergoing a revitalization effort. Lets hope they are all successful and we are able to cultivate a new generation of leaders spread out among all the parties. The eUS is always yearning for new active players, and fresh blood entering the system.

Speaking of new leaders, congressional elections are also on the horizon. While many people disregard congress, it is a place to get your ideas heard. This month we have discussed economics, taxes, foreign policy, domestic policy, and even constitutional code changes. You can give input into the eUS's future course, accept new people into the country (with IES direction of course), and participate in some substantive debate over varying topics. This month we had a lot of new people and a lot of interesting voices, and perhaps you can be one too. I intend to run again because I've enjoyed congress my first two terms, so you should throw your hat in as well. Go through your party's standard processes of getting accepted on the ballot, and try to get your voice heard a little bit more. It's worth trying, and it never hurts. Even without access to congress, continue to make your opinions heard and you input valued.

Apologies for the short article, just trying to keep myself visible and out of the shadows. Despite setbacks, mistakes, etc, I'd say we're slowly moving in the right direction as a country. We might not succeed in every venture, but working together ensures greater possibility of success. Despite occasional division, arguments, or separation, we can still get a lot accomplished side by side. I'll still be busy working for our best interests, and I encourage you all to do the same. As a brief side-note, if anyone has foreign policy concerns, feel free to chat with me. I've always got time for some conversation.
