Our Independence Day.

My Fellow Americans,

This upcoming Election takes place right on the heels of our Independence Day. It is a day that holds a sacred place in the hearts of all true Americans. It is on this day that all Americans will have the choice to save our country. We are not simply fighting against tyranny, oppression, or persecution, but from annihilation. Our country has been led to disaster by those currently in power. Only one candidate on that ballot has the influence, the character, and the plan to restore the entirety of our nation, both in its territory and in its dignity. There is only one choice to make. Vote Zeng999 if you believe in America.

With his four terms of service in the eUSA Congress, and his current role as a public spokesman for his party, Zeng999 would be a natural fit as President to change the direction of our country from one going downward, to one again on the ascent. As a long-time citizen of the USA, with a long track record of serving our country on the battlefield, there are few citizens who could bring about the sort of true unity that he could.

With the likely election of one of America’s most popular opposition leaders to the Presidency of Serbia, Hanibal LA, the only way we will get our country back is by actually talking to our so-called foes like adults, and not by more trolling, propaganda, and hate speech. The question all must ask themselves is a clear one. Do you want a nation that is left in economic and strategic ruin for who knows how many weeks or months to come? or do you want a nation that gets back up on its feet and starts to conduct itself according to American principles, with honor, strength, and with independence. I for one hope that we can truly celebrate our eIndependence Day. Light the candle of liberty once again courageous eagles of America!

Do the American thing.
Vote Zeng999 for President of the United States
Reagan out! o7

Check out all of the Serbian citizenships that the "honorable" Zeng999 approved on May 15th (must have been an election day):

These people will stop at nothing to bring down our democracy with their lies and misdirection. Sorry but that is not the direction I am looking to go toward, especially on July 4th.

From your last article: " I personally feel that the Confederate cause was a just one........ unfortunately the wrong side prevailed".

You self describe as a racist who believes in the institution of slavery, treating people as property and white supremacy. You have repeatedly stated that the service member who dies, leaving a widow and orphans, perishes without honour. You would be welcome at Westboro Baptist.

For these reasons, in addition to your history of being banned by admins and your demonstrated cheerleading for the invading teams, this article is offensive to me. I don't speak for others. You are, however, perfectly entitled to offend me.

Ronald Gipper Reagan
Ronald Gipper Reagan Day 2,053, 00:03

Don't put words in my mouth, and stop distorting my views. The Confederacy stood for liberty and the values of the founding of the nation, and I feel that serving in a military which permits dishonorable behavior is not something I would do as long as this sort of unAmerican policy is in place.

olivermellors Day 2,053, 00:22

You have repeatedly stated that the service member who dies, leaving a widow and orphans, perishes without honour. You. Specifically. If you wish to amend that view and apologize to the service members that you specifically said that to, well that is progress.

As to your views of the outcome of the civil war and what the Confederacy stood for I am, unfortunately, unable to credit you with being stupid. Since I believe you have an average intellect I conclude you are perfectly aware that the Confederate states maintained and promoted both the institution of slavery and white supremacy. About these things there is no dispute except with the deliberately ignorant.

This goes to my main point of course. Deliberate ignorance is unhealthy for our community and offensive to me. Again, I don't pretend to speak for others but urge voters and leaders to distance themselves from you and to permit you no influence and no access to any political position. In this, I think there is wide agreement amongst players from both team eUSA and team eSerbia.

Ronald Gipper Reagan
Ronald Gipper Reagan Day 2,053, 00:30

More like above average....

and stop making stuff up.

I will put it simply for you.

Anyone who violates UCMJ Article 125 should be dishonorably court-martialed and prosecuted to the fullest extent of military law.

and you can regurgitate propaganda all you want, as I said, the victors write the history books. It doesn't make it true, and your understanding of the CW is misguided at best.

crashthompson. Day 2,053, 09:12

The Confederacy stood for, if I don't get my way, I am leaving and taking my toys home with me.

When the Constituion was being viewed as applying to "all men" some states got upset and decided the US Constitution wasn't for them and wrote their own.

As for dishonorable behavior, USMJ is updated and revised all the time. I don't know if that is actually still on the books or not. But honestly, I don't give a shit of minor issues. UCMJ Article 125 would not typically end up as a dishonorable discharge, more than likely just a other than honorable discharge if someone bothered to actually press it.

As a former service member, RGR, how about signing up and working on changing it from the inside. Or better yet, serve a term, get some experience and use it to make the political changes you feel are needed. Unless they broke Geneva Convention or committed an actually recognized US Federal Crime, then the service member is honorable. But then again, I actually chose to serve.

olivermellors Day 2,053, 00:54

I don't make stuff up Ajay. Your specific words, including about all military members serving without honour, have been published, repeatedly and you have maintained a consistent position until now. If you have now reconsidered and believe that service in the armed forces is an honourable calling, that is progress. You should of course apologize for having offered the previous insults, but I leave that to you. It would demonstrate a degree of integrity.

The victors do indeed tend to write the history. In the case of the Civil War, the losers also wrote a lot of history and of course they wrote all those contemporary documents. No one except the deliberately uninformed can suggest that the institution of slavery did not exist, that it was not cherished and defended in the Confederacy, that the contemporary speeches and documents didn't champion those institutions and promote their retention and extension. Not even the apologists go anywhere near that far. You self describe as being of above average intelligence. I therefore conclude you are deliberately dishonest. Perhaps only with yourself - granted. This is a matter of civic importance for all real life Americans. I therefore councel an honest investigation of the credible scholarship in this field. I'm sorry for the harsh words but if they give you pause to reflect and re-appraise they will not have been in vain. Regards.

Ronald Gipper Reagan
Ronald Gipper Reagan Day 2,053, 00:58

Not really. I have always said that, so you are misinterpreting my words..

Slavery existed in the union too.

General Lee was an abolitionist and owned no slaves, and most southern soldiers owned no slaves, just as some Union soldiers did own slaves. This only became an issue to damage the agrarian southern economy later in the war.... not as some sort of grand crusade. Slavery was on its way out anyway. It was no where near the main cause of the war. The south fought for independence. The north fought to preserve the union by any means necessary.

olivermellors Day 2,053, 01:42

if you have changed your mind that is good. But no one is misinterpreting. Everyone can read it :

Don't know if you will delete your own comment to that article or the various comments you have made repeating the same thing over the last two hundred days. So, no, you are not being misinterpreted. If you have changed your view congrats.

If you don't wish to read any credible history, all of which is consistent on the point of slavery and white supremacy, that is your choice. You do not demonstrate above average intelligence by spouting nonsense. I would suggest, as a first approach, looking at the primary sources including the contemporary speeches by Southern Leaders and, of course the various formal declarations of secession written, published, circulated and promoted by the "losers" before they were defeated. I suggest this in part because it may help you to avoid appearing to be a racist white supremacist apologist bigot. Regards.

" Slavery was on its way out anyway. It was no where near the main cause of the war. "

So if we remove slavery from the equation (ie: slavery does not exist in the USA in 1860), does the Civil War happen?

It does not. So your comment is not based in fact, but in a revisionist view of the civil war.

Mississippi's succession: "Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution, and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin."

Other states--

Wilhem Klink
Wilhem Klink Day 2,053, 04:14

Texas: "We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable.

That in this free government *all white men are and of right ought to be entitled to equal civil and political rights* [emphasis in the original]; that the servitude of the African race, as existing in these States, is mutually beneficial to both bond and free, and is abundantly authorized and justified by the experience of mankind, and the revealed will of the Almighty Creator, as recognized by all Christian nations; while the destruction of the existing relations between the two races, as advocated by our sectional enemies, would bring inevitable calamities upon both and desolation upon the fifteen slave-holding states."

Georgia: "The people of Georgia having dissolved their political connection with the Government of the United States of America, present to their confederates and the world the causes which have led to the separation. For the last ten years we have had numerous and serious causes of complaint against our non-slave-holding confederate States with reference to the subject of African slavery. They have endeavored to weaken our security, to disturb our domestic peace and tranquility, and persistently refused to comply with their express constitutional obligations to us in reference to that property, and by the use of their power in the Federal Government have striven to deprive us of an equal enjoyment of the common Territories of the Republic"

George Armstrong Custer
George Armstrong Custer Day 2,053, 08:47

olivermellors... I'll consider your comments here as speaking for me-- I simply don't have the patience for arguing with this punk.

crashthompson. Day 2,053, 09:07

General Lee was not an abolitionist. When he inherited his property from his father in law, he was directed to free the slaves. He in turn did not, as he needed their labor to improve upon the property with its current condition and debts. Also, due to the fact that he was rarely home because of military obligations, he left others in charge of the slaves and though was not very involved in their "handling" still owned them.
