Update on Gobbas Tools and others using the Official API

Hello to all citizens of eRepublik,
as a result of the many, many pms I've been receiving over the past two-three weeks, I've decided to write a brief article addressing the issue at han😛

On October 6th the erepublik developers made the announcement of upcoming changes due to their work on their servers and dns. As a result eRepublik was a bit buggy and for a few days we had the www2 in the urls. Now the game is back to normal and all is well.

However since then there have been changes made to the official API feeds, which are being used by my tools as well as many other tool-developers. The effect is, that it is not possible to retrieve a bunch of feeds in a short period of time. We have all asked about the changes and whether or not they were intended or if they will persist. As far as I'm informed the eRepublik developers are working on it and will make the feeds available again with the known and agreed upon limitations from before October 6th.

However in the meanwhile a lot of tools are very unstable. Sometimes they work and on other days they don't. Please be patient.

The Worldmap is not effected as I cache all the data required for it on my own servers.



Also, I've been working on quite a few new features for both the Worldmap and the company tools. Once the feeds are up again and working properly that work will be continued!

So to answer most of the questions in the pms: No, I am and will not neglect neither the map nor the other tools and yes, please be patient, we are all confident that this problem will be solved in time.
