Join the new world

Time for Skalg (i.e. me) to rant a bit about politics again.

As you might have heard by now, there were talks between Spoland and US/Brasil to form a new alliance. The main goal? Get 10/10 ressources and be happy.

However, Spoland and US/Brasil happen to be in different, hostile alliances (ONE and Terra), so it was kinda obvious something would happen.

Probably the most famous article was smees leak about how Spoland was assuring Ser/Hun that they would not (never ever) abandon them but how they only wanted an alliance of big, selfish nations maybe including Ser/Hun. Also, they'd want to weaken the ties in Terra.

Now, weakening Terras ties is not a very hard job. Most Terra nations had de facto a NAP with Poland, stopping most direct wars against ONE nations. With this, the status quo was cemented. What is the status quo? France and Germark lose most of their regions, while the US had 10/10 ressources guaranteed (!). Of course, an alliance cementing a situation where one of its members wins the war while its other members lose would soon lose its main purpose - to fight for (and defend) members.

Now would it fight for other nations (such as Croatia) or simply stop existing? I guess we now know the answer.

First of all, Brasil left the alliance. One of the reasons was its unhappiness with Romania. Just as a reminder, on of the main reasons why Brasil left PHX was its unhappiness with Romanias arch enemy Hungary.

Later, the US left as well, in a „secret“ congress vote (srsly, I doubt it stayed secret for very long, rumours have been about for quite a while). With that, Terra, already a small and insignificant alliance, lost its backbone: US/Brasil. I think with that, Terra has ultimately made a recor😛 It's officially the alliance with more former members than current members. The list of former members would be too long, and they ended up in all kinds of real alliances.

US president Evry has written a very whiny article about how evil people have done evil things like leaking logs. What the hell do you expect? You are in an alliance. Most of your members are in war or have NAPs which only guarantee losses to them. And what do you do? Start talks with the main aggressors against your member nations. What will they do, say hi there, thanks a lot for letting us be your friends while we guaranteed your bonuses? Riiiiiiight.

So yea, what does this mean now?

We have: ONE fighting EDEN. We have Terra with no real damage, lots of middle sized countries, being occupied by Poland and basically doing nothing (well, there is this war against UK, which means that all of Terra together can beat one single ONE nation, hell yeah). And we have CoT, who concentrate on their vendettas against EDEN-countries. Add free strong countries like Brasil/USA, and you have a very interesting mix of power blocs fucking up every middle sized or small country in their way.

Fact is: SER/HUN will never ally with Cromania. Fact is: CoT will never ally with Argentina/Turkey. So the question is: Will EDEN split up? And what will Spoland and Brasil/USA do? However, one thing is pretty clear - neither the US nor Brasil will see many Terra fighters on their battlefields in the future.
