TheBlackAdder for QLD senate

Day 700, 22:18 Published in Australia Australia by TheBlackAdder

I will be running for senate with the TBP again in QLD on the 25th of the month.

Regretably last time I ran in senate in QLD voters chose not to elect me. I am writting to you today to try and change that decision.

Experience

A vote for TheBlackAdder is a vote for a very experienced senator. I have proven my dedication to the senate by seving many terms and contributing largely in each of them. I am also currently the TBP PP and if you have any questions about TrueBlue feel free to direct them at me. I have proven I can do the job required by a senator and work my best for the good of Australia

Plans

I prefer solid plans and promises rather than the generic I will try to get WA back seen in most presentations instead i promis you two thinks that will be done:

Lower taxes

In short there were ways to avoid this in the first place and I want them back to 10%
In conjunction with the next budget proposal I will propose that taxes go back to 10%
There are a lot of government programs with limited use that should have been changed before raising taxes and I will help to do that instead. My next promise will help in that:

GFC law rewiew

The laws covering government funded companies are restrictive and difficult to comprehend and follow. There are two MAJOR flaws: Running of all companies is automatically approved every term and each term all companies must be run exactly as is stated.

I plan to replace this with a three step process which would be repeated each term:

1. An "Official Government Owned Company List" (for lack of a better name)
which contains the names, industry, quality, location and controling ORG for all government owned companies

Companies can be removed or added to the list only with senate approval and are not subject to automatic funding

2. A "Cabinet Intention List" (again for lack of a better name)
Containing the cabinets intended purposes for the companies on the list for that term a brief description (for the summary) and a more detailed one should be given for each company. Companies are not required to be run even if they are on the list. The list would be released ideally a few days before the budget

The list is subject to senate aproval. The companies MUST run withing the discription. If the govt. wants to deviate mid term they must propose an ammendment.

3. End of term reporting
A summary of the runnings for each company should then be posted at the end of the term
including accomplishments and the amount spent compared to the amount allocated in net value and percentage

This would allow a process that isnt as restrictive to the cabinet but is still subject to aproval each term and is a much improved way to run the GFCs

conclusion

If you want someone who will do what they say they will, and actually has plans not just ideals vote for TheBlackAdder. Working in QLD for a better tomorrow.
