The Supreme Court of eBelgium- Why it is a good idea!

Day 864, 18:00 Published in Belgium Belgium by Kylero

My fellow eBelgians, statesmen, and friends,

Currently, the eBelgian Parliament is debating whether to expand the Judicial branch of the government by creating the Supreme Court of eBelgium.

What will it do?

The Supreme Court, and its 5 Justices will review laws to ensure that they are Constitutional and serve the will of the eBelgian people. This is done to ensure against any rogue majority of MPs. Justices will be nominated by the Prime Minister, then approved by the Parliament.

Why?

Whynot? Its a game, and for those who say, "we don't need it", I say, well, we don't need forums for countries, organizations and command structures for eMilitaries, party websites/forums. This will add to the RPG of the game as any of these other elements do. But most importantly, it provides eBelgians with a chance to serve in their government, when game mechanics prevent them from doing so (i.e. PTOs, level deficiencies).

Also, this will give more power to the people as many of these responsibilities are given to Forum Directors who are not accountable to the people.

Trust in the competencies of your lawmakers to know that this is in no way an act of deceit on the eBeligan people, but an act of inclusion and transparency.

eBelgians- Call upon your sitting Representatives to support this proposal.
Members of Parliament- Listen to your constituents, make this dream a reality, and add another element of fun to this game
