Follow-up to Last Week's Congressional Activity Reports

In the previous edition, we neglected to list the newly elected Congressmen. Here you’ll find not only the list, but notice of any Resignations and Censures as they may occur.

This Week's Congressional Activity

Sign-in 12/02: “34 sign-ins in the 24-hour window, quorum is 19.”

Which brought about a Discussion about the apparent ambiguous wording of the Rule, specifically exactly what the math is to go from the number of sign-ins to determine Quorum, and so…
The Discussion; the Proposal; the Vote.
The measure passe😛 22 Yes; 6 No; 5 Abstain

The Congressional Citizen Award Law has been on the books since December 2010, but has been largely unimplemented. It was asked, “Should we repeal this? Should we amend it to make it optional (as it has been ignored for over a year)? Should we just pretend that it doesn't exist?”
Discussion: Amending the Congressional Citizen Award Process; a premature Proposal; the Proposal; the Vote.
The Law was repealed and Committee dissolve😛 Yes 22; No 11; Abstain 5

And then.. a day after burning it to the ground, a fresh thread was starte😛 [Discussion] Congressional Citizen Award Program. Go figure.

Q/A with oldfags - Constitution and Code had a short run on the Public Congress board before its originator moved the discussion to a thread in General eRepublik Discussion.

More in-game Proposals:

The December Budget was passe😛 Yes: 33; No: 0; Abstain: 0
The Discussion; the Proposal; the Vote.

Mutual Protection Pacts

Approve😛
President of Finland proposed a mutual protection pact.

President of Canada proposed a mutual protection pact.

President of Germany proposed a mutual protection pact.

Also Approve😛
Dr Luis Sentieiro proposed to transfer 400000 USD from the country accounts to Congressional Budget Office.

The Week Ahea😛

The Private Congress area has been busy, and some of those issues will be released to the public soon. Maybe the actual threads, too, in which case they'll be published in next week's Speakers Word.

Your 72nd Congress appears to be determined to root out and correct any ambiguously worded Legislation. Look forward to more of the same in the following weeks.

The Legislative Branch and Public Congressional Proceedings are where Congress conducts almost all its business, and are there for you to follow our Discussions and Votes.
