The Race Is On...

Day 509, 16:54 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Marcus Antonius Varias

You may not have known, but things are really starting to get exciting in the corridors of the UKRP. Until yesterday, there were only two candidates in the race. It was that simple. Then, enter yours truly...

How fantastic that that we have a country, political system and party that allows a challenger, new off the street, full of imagination and ready to learn all that he can to advance and forward the UKRP. It's a testament to the democracy of this country, even in internal politics, a land usually ridden with discrimination and classism.

Take good note: their is good opportunity in this country, to much degree, great opportunities. We must appreciate that, ensure its survival. We must never end up resting on the laurels of those who have done well, endure complacency, fail to notice and realise our own failings.

I support scrutiny of parties and its politicians. In-fact, I think it's essential. If we have no one to judge us, no press to condemn us or citizens to challenge us, then we our own law. We always need to be in check.

I have confidence in myself and my party. I am certain that everything they and I do are in the best interest of the country. That is why I have no worry, no fear but complete credence in everything I execute.

The only one with both the ability and right to judge us is those who we work for. I expect us to be gauged and rated. That's why all parties need to try their best to be scrutinised by their voters and their constituents.

As we can all be judged so evenly, I haven been able to run. And what a run this is going to be. It's going to be an interesting next few days...
