The Powerful Spirit of Christmas

Naturally influenced by real life events, with a team dominated by an international group of players from Slavic nations, the spirit of Christmas continues to grow & is stronger than ever right now in eThailand!

Recently, news headlines about the political turmoil in Thailand were pushed aside by this spirit of Christmas, when 852 Thai children broke a Guinness World Record for creating the largest human Christmas tree! \☺/



Even though Christmas isn't celebrated in Thailand in the traditional sense, the laughter & well being generated by this positive act temporarily shifted the nation's focus from the divisive political scene, to one of joyful innocence, a reflection of the true spirit of Christmas. As a team, eThailand can take pride in the success of these children.

Here at home January 06th., Montrealers are celebrating Little Christmas, the 12th. Day of Christmas, which coincides with the Feast of the Epiphany, otherwise known as La Fête des Rois.



One of the oldest & most delicious French Canadian traditions associated with this day, is a meal ending with La Galette des Rois. I've never used this recipe, but it seems easy to make & I think that it would melt in your mouth, so it's my Little Christmas gift to all of you. ♛ Bonne Fête des Rois! ♛

All over the world & particularly in the Slavic nations of Europe, for those who follow the Orthodox traditions, Christmas Eve began at midnight just about 12 hours ago! This is the final day of fasting & if I was fasting today, then I'd make these!

For those of you who are really ambitious, I found what I think is an authentic, very detailed recipe for Božićni kolač written in English, so it's not a mixed up Google version. It's just beautiful!



For those of you who won't be upset if the hair on your arms gets singed & whose partner or children or pets aren't in the house & who promise to do this only when completely sober... I figure that leaves most of you out. 😛
