The Lut Desert

The Lut Desert is situated in the south east of Iran.
It became an UNESCO heritage in 2016.
The propetty has 2,278,055 hectares from wich buffer zone 1, 794,134 ha,.
Between June and Octomber , this arid subtropical area is hit by strong winds, wich transport sendiments and cause aeolian erosion on a colossal scale.
There are many of spectacular examples of aeolian yardang landforms ( massive corrugated ridges), ongoing geological processes., extensive stony deserts and dune fields.
In this zone are the highest land surface temperatures, a temperature of 70.7 Celsius degrees has been recorded within .
