The LIES of HOPE

Greetings Belgium,

I come to you in the most unfortunate of circumstances. I am tired, and so are many others in this country by the same old stories. Tired by baseless accusations and slander from the governing party and the government. It is a tragedy filled with LIES.

So let me take you onto a journey regarding the Lies of our government, showcasing the incompetence of the people in charge of running our country.


The current president showcased in his campaign the importance of Congress communicating and working for this country. He proposed a forum to be created to gather all Members of Congress and allow them to discuss. It has now been 15 days since his election and yet nothing has happened. He also proposed to create a position of Chairman of Congress.


On the 11th of January, I took it upon myself to give Congress a voice instead, by proposing the creation of the Chairman of Congress. During that debate, which we commonly decided to hold on our Discord, there were few members who participated in the debate. I made proposals on how I see the role of the Chairman and offered myself as candidate.



On the 12th of January, I asked how we should proceed with the vote, yet received no replies.



On the 13th of January, I presented a finished proposal and received interaction with Raskol to further elaborate the proposal. A mere day later, on the 14th, seeing no further activity in the debate, I informed all members present of my intention to launch the vote after 24 hours of further wait.



Yet again, no responses from the present members of Congress. Thus the vote began on the 15th based on the voting system I deemed best to achieve this, a Google Form with double-check on the article I published in this very same newspaper. It certainly wasn't the best method, but it was certainly better than the ones we had previously used. Since I had received no suggestions or answers, any feedback, I proceeded as I felt best. Informing members of what was necessary to do in the article and on the form.

That same day, and since then, HOPE members have refused to recognize the election. First they argued that there was no debate, the screenshots above prove that there was an attempt at debate from my side, yet that HOPE failed to do their job.

Then they argued that the voting system used was inadequate, yet they neither proposed alternatives when I requested so, nor did their alternative presented days after the election, showcase any difference from the one I used.

Since then, the government has remained on its position and refused to acknowledge the vote. Arguing that we should re-do the vote because HOPE members didn't vote. I ask you, why? Why should we give HOPE a second chance to do THEIR JOB?



83% of All TOgether CM's participated in this vote and followed the clear instructions. 66 % of Democratic Socialist Party CM's voted, 33 % of The Belgian Dream CM's voted.

ONLY 27% of HOPE members voted and followed the instructions given. 2 votes were removed for not following the instructions. One member never responded back to my inquiries (Arriaes).

This is shameful, people voted in to represent the people of this country, simply sitting there doing nothing except gathering their 5 gold and their fancy medal. No participation in debates, nothing. And now they argue that the system is unfair because they don't participate in it.

Instead, HOPE initially suggested a 3h debate to find a new voting system. Is that democracy? I'd argue no, its clearly authoritarian. They agreed to a 24h debate. Furthermore, they consistently refuse to participate in debates. You saw above, 4 days of little HOPE activity followed by a small burst of outrage. It took them 5 days to present another proposal to open a Mass-PM of all Congressmembers. 5 DAYS, that's shameful.



We're also still waiting for the President to fulfill his promise to release a public article with our financial situation. We are losing money by the buckets, yet we have no idea what government programs will need money and how much except the BHP. The BHP recently increased its expenses without any initial debate. The increased cash that was given out, was promptly forgotten, then quickly fixed in the most messy of ways. Certain members didn't receive cash until they pointed it out.


The Lotto, a non-governmental program that used private funding. You'd assume it would not use any state money, yet it did. This government made two payments of 22300 BEF each (they mistook the winner yet again and sent the money to the wrong person) straight from the NBB-BNB org. Then they refused to acknowledge that they had to pay back the state 44600 BEF for a painstakingly long time. The money has now returned, but its shameful how this government is incapable of handling its finances. In fact, we have yet to hear a single thing from our Minister of Finance.



This government had refused to even acknowledge that we have not enough income to cover our expenses, and yet expect us to keep on voting budget after budget with no idea how its being spent and with countless mistakes that showcase their inability to take care of that cash.


From the current government team, we have a total of 3 people actually working or doing things. All the other members have been silent and inactive. Its a shame that the HOPE inactivity also transcends into government despite all the promises that they would be active and do better. THEY LIED!

They have promised "safe immigration", yet I have to ask what defines "safe immigration"? I'd argue that accepting an application of a temp-banned player, who is still under investigation by the moderators for multi-account usage, is NOT SAFE IMMIGRATION. So yet another lie.


I'm simply tired of getting accused and attacked each and every time. This comes all out of your incompetence HOPE, this is not ATO. These are your government members and your congressmembers failing this country and instead of looking to cross the bridge, you don't care. YOU DESTROY THE BRIDGE. YOU FAIL THIS COUNTRY. So shame on you HOPE, shame on each and everyone of you for blaming your incompetence, your dictatorial behavior on others. Accept the consequences of your actions instead of whining and crying about like freaking babies. Grow up or leave office if you're unable to fulfill what it requires. We don't need inactive, uncaring people. We don't need people who's only goal is to divide us. Be better or leave the job to those who care about this country.
