The Law for the Wolves

Day 2,269, 21:40 Published in India India by Asmitatheone

The Great Indian Cricketing Legend Rahul Dravid said something that struck a chord with me:

“My wife and I have built a new home with a lovely garden which houses lovely bamboo trees. I got reading on the Chinese bamboo and learned that the tree takes 5 years, 3 months to grow to its whole height of 80 feet.
Yet, for the first 5 years, you only see a tiny green shoot, but in the next 90 days, it grows into a full-fledged tree. But in those first 60 months, it is growing its strong network of roots underground, to support the tree.
In an era of instant gratification, we settle for shorter trees, but remember patience has its reward. These are your years of growing that strong network of roots but be sure when you finally achieve your success, people will call it OVERNIGHT SUCCESS”.

In this time and age of our beloved eIndia, we possibly see only despair, we see darkness, and we possibly don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. Well in more ways than one, that is true. We don’t have our lands, we don’t have our bonus, we don’t have enough citizens, we don’t have much damage…yes it is indeed a woeful time. We lost some of this due to our inactivity, lack of motivation, bad choice of friends, changes in the game dynamics.
But let us use this period. Let us work this period to build our roots, and strengthen our base so that when we rise finally like that Chinese bamboo, our roots are strong and we do not need to worry about anything but looking forward and writing history.
These days we have a number of oldies turning up and pitching in. Compared to them, I am still in my adolescence. They will be more adept at commenting on this, but in the 3 years that I have seen this game, we have seen a whole lot of changes. And who knows, what kind of changes we will see in the future. Maybe there would be things that would help us. Something that would turn around the future of eIndia.
My friends, they can take away everything we have but they can never ever take away our spirit. Don’t let them take away the relationship we have forged. Don’t let them take away the efforts we have put in. Don’t let them take away our motivation. Don’t let them despair enough to give up.
History is witness to the fact that usually one unknown germ of an idea leads to a revolution. One unseeming man/woman managed the incredible feats to over throw empires. The important part is to keep trying.
Come on my countrymen, rise up, let’s do something new, let us turn another page in the history of eIndia. Let us not fade away. We really don’t want to the Hollow Men(by TS Elliot). No don’t think I want to be remembered as the poet says as, “As the hollow men, The stuffed men.” I would rather want you all to remember what Rudyard Kipling said in his The Law for the Wolves, “For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack”
Cheers guys, let stand by each other, because:
“Hey Yaaro Maan Kabhi Kabhi Sare Jahan Mein Andhera Hota Hai, Lekin Raat Ke Baad Hi To Savera Hota Hai”

The road to the dawn is through this darkness
