Welcome to the first issue of The ESO Herald, its gunna be a Cookie! amazing article, go on read it. You won’t regret it 😉


Greetings ESO and people of the eUK,

Firstly, I would like to say a big thanks to those that voted for me to be Party President, it’s a great honour.

My focus this month has shifted to our in game members (you guys), those who don’t use IRC or the National forums. I admit a lot of our business is conducted on IRC, and I would really like to see everyone have a chance to help or contribute to our party regardless of IRC/Forum.

With the introduction of this newspaper, I hope to communicate with the ESO majority more effectively and to get everyone ‘in the loop’ with what we are all up to.

And also a few prizes and competitions are being run by the brilliant Elle Roslin and with more to come, this ought to help a few of you lucky people get started in this game.

A few main topics to mention.

Firstly, we have regrettably missed out on congress for yet another term and I ask you all to stay positive in this time of occupation, squabbling and blind blaming will not help our situation, but we can all look forward to the next opportunity and all ready ourselves for the battles ahead.

Secondly, I can officially announce that ESO are sponsoring Talon Karrde for the Country President elections. We all agree that he is an active and intelligent member of the eUK and will do a great job running our country. So we wish him the best of luck 😃


This issue we have the wonderful Elle Roslin (aka Roz) giving us a magical motivational speech:

In January, ESO celebrated a milestone – our first year in existence! We have come a long way from those first few weeks, but a few things have remained consistent along the way. As someone who has been along for (almost) all of the ride, I believe that what makes ESO work is our commitment to each other, to keeping things low key and fun, and the tireless effort I see expended each and every day to make the eUK a more welcoming and positive place. Our success has been, and always will be built on the strength and diversity of our members. Each day I learn something new from interacting with you guys and gals, and for that I thank you.

The last few months in particular have been an exciting time in ESO. Our party is now the largest that it has ever been, and our irc channel is arguably the most popular and vibrant in the entire eUK community. We have many friends and ‘family’ abroad in other nations right now as well. Despite their ingame nationality, they are still part of our community, and we look forward to the day when the UK is whole once more so we can welcome them back! Our military unit has grown in size and stature, laying down millions of damage per day. Every day we help fund the economic growth of individual party members, and it is our goal to help every player reach self-sufficiency.

Right now we are once again facing a fight to remain on the map to hold congress elections. I urge each and every one of you to fight intelligently, and to use all of the rockets and energy bars that you have stored up. Until the 25th, each battle the UK is involved in is critical. So let’s stand together with the rest of our fellow UK citizens and resist our occupation! If we are successful, don’t forget to vote in Congress elections on the 25th 🙂



A peanut is actually a pea not a nut, funny cause it uses both words together, sneaky peanuts eh?
Elle Roslin is infact a witch, which was concluded and researched by a secret band of ESO scientists specialising in the witch identifying profession.
This year was a leap year. (In real life)
The eUK has been playing peek a boo lately, can you find it, to be quite honest, its more like where's Woldy, but the eUK sometimes just isn't on the page like we say for the find Woldy books.
